tumblr. fucking smug #whitepeople being arch about pop culture! this site is where awful, self-righteous opinions go to slap each other on the back.

I thought tumblr was for looking at pictures of pretty boys and pretty dresses.

yeah i was bitching about tumblr to someone else today and we both realised we were bitching about completely different things - sara was hating on the alt.twee photo tumblrs, i was hating on the #whitepeople opinions text tumblrs. both of us were right. i never saw the point in following photo tumblrs, myself.

I don't really bother w/fashion magazines anymore so it's a nice way to see Vogue/Elle etc.

A lot of the meme-related postings are annoying/infuriating though.

lots of tech ppl I follow are now signing up for identi.ca because they're pissed off with the "we'll make all the clients, thanks" Twitter steez. Website's honking, but some old Twitter clients work with it, at least.

Common practice has become to start a tweet this way—".@charliesheen"—with the period in front of the name to make sure it's seen by everyone you want to see it.

xp I've had an identi.ca account for ages but never bothered using it because I don't know anyone else with one. There's an iphone app that does identi.ca but buggered if I can remember what it's called.
