I have been watching ABC soaps since I was 15 and am outraged you would even entertain ending these shows!!!! Did you take a poll to see how you will do with this idea ratings wise?? I for one will not watch another informative, authentic show, fun? in whose eyes? Trying to get into The Young and the Restless. The principal matriarch as it were is drunk on vodka 24/7, leaving room for massive amounts of “acting.” Another one of the main characters has multiple personality disorder and speaks in a phony and irritating Southern accent half the time. They shouldn’t be called soaps anymore, they should be called prescription medication operas, because that’s what all the commercials are for.

Due to the lack of actual American daytime soaps, Neighbours (from Australia) has recently earned its first Daytime Emmys nominations.
