Going to try very very very hard not to be starstruck.

― Gus Van Sant's Gerry Blank (Eric H.), Tuesday, 13 September 2011 20:38 (fifteen years ago)

No I'm not jealous. (I SO lie.)

That is cool. I got to meet Bill Corbett a couple of weeks ago and am still impressed by how funny and nice he was.

The new Gamera box set is a total treat of course, but that goes without saying. Next box up, along with bonus features:

Time of the Apes
extras:
INTRODUCTION BY AUGUST RAGONE (Author of Eiji Tsuburaya: Master of Monsters)
MST HOUR WRAPS

Mighty Jack
extras:
INTRODUCTION BY AUGUST RAGONE
THE DVD MENUS OF MST3K

The Violent Years
extras:
ED-UCATION: ARCHIVAL INTERVIEW WITH DELORES FULLER
ED-UCATION: ARCHIVAL INTERVIEW WITH KATHY WOOD

The Brute Man
extras:
INTRODUCTION BY MARY JO PEHL
TRAIL OF THE CREEPER: MAKING THE BRUTE MAN
THE MAKING OF MST3K (1997)

All great in different, insane ways.

― Ned Raggett, Wednesday, 14 September 2011 14:19 (fifteen years ago)

Interview was fantastic, other than me fighting like hell not to come off like a fanboy.

First CInematic Titanic experience was pretty awesome. Especially the three bro-ey gay dudes in what appeared to be a Jules et Jim situation were making out two rows in front of me.

― michael assbender (Eric H.), Friday, 16 September 2011 03:01 (fifteen years ago)

Brilliant. What was the movie, anyway?

― Ned Raggett, Friday, 16 September 2011 03:15 (fifteen years ago)

Doomsday Machine ... so bad it took two movie crews to ruin it.

― michael assbender (Eric H.), Friday, 16 September 2011 03:18 (fifteen years ago)

Casey Kasem ...
Mission Control Officer

Well I'm sold.

― Ned Raggett, Friday, 16 September 2011 03:28 (fifteen years ago)

Oh, I lost count of the AT40-based jokes after they passed, well, the top 40.

if Paulie Walnuts is an MST3K fan*, maybe he can put in a good work for the boys the next time he does the USO thing with Sandy Frank.

(* - something tells me he isn't, but wouldn't it be wonderful if he was?!?)

Just started watching The Rebel Set and so far it's much more entertaining than I'd expected. "Enough money to forget that you can't act." - "Hey, you're in this movie too, buddy."

― Doctor Casino, Saturday, 24 March 2012 05:03 (fourteen years ago)

Was just about to bump this thread to observe: I forgot to wear a bra.

― hot and brothered (Eric H.), Saturday, 24 March 2012 05:04 (fourteen years ago)

Mannnnnn, Rebel Set, what a bad movie! I mean I know that's the show's whole thing but that was one of the more shapeless and underplotted things I've seen on there.

Hahaha.

"Brrrrt."

"...I don't believe it."

― Ned Raggett, Saturday, 14 April 2012 05:32 (fourteen years ago)

This really was the worst movie. At least Manos, Red Zone Cuba, Creeping Terror, etc had unintended camp/clumsiness.
Watching Monster A Go Go is like discovering credit card fraud in your account.
