i once tipped a bartender a black guy. i was all like hey, this guy is pretty uneven, do you have a shim or something? and then i kind of tilted him to the side. the bartender was like yeah, that's george, he's got one leg shorter than the other and he lost his orthotics. then he took a piece of cardboard and put it under george's shoe. george had been having a conversation with some hot bar lady, and he paused for a moment to thank me for tipping him all right and even. he was all grateful a la, hey guy i'm no good at this kind of thing – i'm glad you're here to keep me on the straight and narrow. i was like for sure dude, and then we drank margaritas off some lady's ass.

when I went to summer camp in china in 9th grade, we left a tip for the housekeeper on our last day. right before we got on the bus, one of the hotel staff came running out and told us that we had forgotten some money on the dresser.
