Sounds good -- just got back into town here and am catching up. Hollywood or downtown would be best for me, basically anywhere near a Red Line stop; 2 pm would be more than fine. Who's in?

may i suggest the federal for daytime drinking? it's one block from the red line in north hollywood, and i presume the bar is also open during brunch hours. upstairs patio and many many many beers, as well.

sounds OK, THO 2:30 wd probably be more like it.

also, the Academy is showing Forbidden Planet on Sat night, but there are only standby tix!

A couple of other friends of mine have indicated they're in as well so I'll reconfirm with them. I should be able to get there right around two or a little beforehand; the upstairs patio/beer plan sounds perfect.

Yes I know it's nowhere near, but I have no point of reference for how far back things are going to be jammed.

Let me put it this way -- you could take the Gold Line to Union Station then via Metrolink/Anaheim to Anaheim Station and a quick cab ride over and not have to worry about the freeways at all.

I'm a single guy in town on business. My trip out of town got delayed a day. So no plans except for what I hear is Carmageddon. Sounds bad, eh? Live in the PNW, from the east coast and don't really know this town at all. Would love to go out with someone here to see the town and have some fun. I'm cute, 5'10", HWP, white, job-holding, car-having, clean-living and grandmas love me. Kind of a catch, and single too!

Made it (on 2nd attempt) to the Dick Library today, and I was never so happy to see a grave. (There was a racist docent there too, what a surprise.)

I'm doing the downtown architecture tour til 12:30, then hopping over to Hollywood Heritage Museum for a quick visit, so figure 2:30ish.
