I went to the MOCA opening for 'Under the Big Black Sun' last night, and while I was really looking forward to it - it was really underwhelming.

gonna try to check out the performance art exhibit at LACE today, but it's already 3:06 and they close at 6pm.

Yes I know, unfortunate. But then again, opportunities for valorizing the past are going to be coming thick and fast these coming months and I choose instead to celebrate the future, because I am going to have to live in it.

Plus I hate going to Hollywood on a weekend and this is like 5 mins from my door. Oh and I guess I pretty much have to be there.

Some of you people live in Eagle rock and like weird music, right? Shellac is playing at the Eagle Rock Center for the Arts tonight and tomorrow with cellist Helen Money (who I interviewed a while back for one of my magazines). Check it out if it isn't sold out.
