like who owns all those stores that sell giant pewter dragons holding crystal balls and like tarot cards you can buy featuring members of popular 80s band tears for fears as the tower the jester the prince the hot topic merchant etc

― Mordy, Thursday, February 9, 2012 1:38 PM (2 hours ago) Bookmark Flag Post Permalink

i was walking by one of these stores the other day, and i sort of gazed longingly curiously in through the window for a while because i used to be heavy into pewter dragons and gem dice when i was a kid, and i was kind of weirded to notice that all the cast-resin fairy statues were tarted up like goth chicks, with like striped stockings and eyeliner and artfully distressed leaf brassieres and shit. i was kind of bumming on the state of fairies today because the fairies of my youth didn't have to be all trendy and slutted out, but then i realized that the fairies of my youth were actually trendy, slutted out stevie nickses, with diaphanous gowns and crystal coke spoons, only i didn't realize it at the time because my sphere of awareness was limited to RPGs and the ghost rider.

⚓ (gr8080), Friday, 10 February 2012 00:17 (thirteen years ago)

he does look like a dude youd meet at a bar

D-40, Friday, 10 February 2012 00:19 (thirteen years ago)

I have met multiple dudes who sound like this at bars

the last one I saw again about a month ago when he was right behind me in the grocery store line and he started to ask about the beer I was buying and I was trying to be kind and give short answers and not make eye contact

AM: So where I live in Pasadena, I’m surrounded by some very awful things.

KC: So we’re talking about a hotbed of the Illuminati, but we’re also talking about a military presence.

They’ve learned that they could put a person in with these dolphins and actually it would cause deep molecular and psychic vibrations that happen where the dolphin is almost used... is used as a medium... and this person becomes a conductor. They coexist in this way, so that it really heightens the senses of the psyche of a person.

KC: Right. And so then what would happen? guess we’re kind of going off into the area of speculation, although it occurs to me that perhaps this is part of your buried memories.

i guess more than the monetization of things, the whole constructed elitism thing is really what makes Mindvalley/self-help way more creepy & fascinating than these other people who are just weirdos

LOL we should poll those youtube titles...

"How to be the Boss of Your Desires"... lol that just doesn't even make sense. Being the boss of my own company, be the boss of my financial planning & decisions, etc... if it said that it would makes sense but, like, who else would be in control of my desires? By definition they are mine!

#1 Inspector Spacetime Fanboy (Viceroy), Wednesday, 15 February 2012 20:25 (thirteen years ago)

by definition you are theirs

lag∞n, Wednesday, 15 February 2012 20:36 (thirteen years ago)

OIC... passions of the mind, etc... still a semantically terrible title.
