I am in the limbo-like position of having read far beyond the show, but not yet up to the current end of the books, so where am I supposed to meet my posting needs huh?

i think it's a reasonable request (not that book people have to go away, just that it'd be nice if they followed ciderpress' advice). and there's no reason for anyone to get huffy about it.

I didn't see Ned's death coming, and I was kind of blown away by it. That wouldn't have happened if someone had spoiled it. You know?

sure but no one is spolierizing anything big like that its just like so and so is maybe alive at some point in the future

it kinda sucks the danger out of it if you know a dude is still around in book 4

I was really shocked by that because they seemed to go to pains in the previous ep to set up the the triangle with him, Margery, and the squire/brother guy.

yeah it was a nice twist for sure

when Ned died people on here were saying that it was nothing and that this series goes like NEXT LEVEL BONKERS AWESOME in books 2 and 3 so now I want to experience that fresh.

everytime I see Xaro I can't help but think casting made a mistake in not choosing Pretty Raheem for the part.

Good episode, in retrospect, but at the time I was waiting for shit to kick off. Preview for next week probably eased that pain.

Very end was really affecting, and it, Onion Knight + Stannis, and Varys and Tyrion bro'ing down saved the rest of the episode with its Stupid!Robb and Stupid!Jon and Boring!Talk. Even the Arya stuff was meh.

Last three episodes felt lke they could easily have been two episodes. Writers seem committed to giving every storyline at least two minutes of screen time a week, which gets a little silly I.e. this week with Dany.
