Too Into Dancing to Argue (ENBB), Sunday, 18 January 2009 03:59 (sixteen years ago)

dang i do not post enough to have tite opinions in this matter, but most ppl here are hilars and fun to read. i will give kudos anyway!

-- dee the lurker: dont think she posts anymore, only other poster living in sa, and i think only poster ive talked to off board, got a lot of shit at times but is very sweet in conversation and overall very swell!

-- tombot reminds me so much of my cousin's husband (just swap out national security with nasa in the job description) which makes me smile at the smart dude rage. also he invited me to brodown when i was living near dc one summer (with said cousin and c's husband) which fell through cos i was living in the boonies of maryland WHATS A DUDE TO DO
-- hoos is at the very least a spurs sympathizer which makes him A+ broseph, also probably closest in geographical proximity to me! also it would not surprise me if we at least have mutual acquaintances for this very fact
-- all the ILHoops and rap dudes dudes and ladies are golden
-- ade langston for #1 login names ('butt is the loneliest number' a personal fav)
-- dan p gave me props once for remixing a song of his which made me feel like the president of 808 drumbeats
-- libcrypt an enbb are also veggies like meee

this is a fun place

i do not want to encourage this meta behavior, but i gotta say morbz is an ultimate bro

i spent an afternoon drinking bloody marys and bullshitting about movies and politics with morbz and it was a good afternoon.

tipsy mothra, Sunday, 18 January 2009 05:27 (sixteen years ago)

Ned will always come to my rescue if I am scared or confused. H and Teeny were the first two people to welcome me and encourage me be be here. Enbb was not too harsh when I freaked her out with a photo.

Wiggy Woo, Monday, 19 January 2009 07:01 (sixteen years ago)

BIG HOOS aka the steendriver, Monday, 19 January 2009 07:08 (sixteen years ago)

Thanks -- it's just down to obsessive news trawling when I'm bored.

dan was nice enough to answer my question in a civil & respectful fashion--looking forward to a new era of board lawyer/mod relations on ilx

max, Friday, 27 February 2009 15:29 (sixteen years ago)

two months pass...

I would pay a subscription to ILX just to read Grimly Fiendish and Noodle Vague on social/political/current affairs, even though I disagree with them 98% of the time, and have driven them both to distraction.

Old Big 'OOS (AKA the Cupwinner) (darraghmac), Monday, 18 May 2009 11:31 (sixteen years ago)

I just want to say that Curtis & Colonel Poo are my fave ilxors ever and I adore them and I think they can turn me on to some great music thanking U.

Sleep Tundra (Bimble Is Still More Goth Than You), Monday, 25 May 2009 18:30 (sixteen years ago)

Grimly Fiendish is also a mega cool ilxor. MEGA COOL.

darraghmac has become a valuable, wise and thoroughly likeable poster, regardless of his political leanings ;)

i vote labour (irish legit version, not british nazi party), btw.

U2 raped goat (darraghmac), Wednesday, 27 May 2009 15:00 (sixteen years ago)

lol that was just a tease, sorry for complimenting ^_^ hehe

sad blue nose hybrid with shit football crew (country matters), Wednesday, 27 May 2009 15:04 (sixteen years ago)

Aw shucks thanks for the testimonial. FWIW I've never assumed your "challenging the consensus" posts meant you were a Tory. But to be fair I don't really get what Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael are about anyway.

If You Lived Here You'd Be SB'd By Now (Noodle Vague), Wednesday, 27 May 2009 15:05 (sixteen years ago)

Noodle Vague- seems overly jaded at times, but I respect your perspective

;-)

sad blue nose hybrid with shit football crew (country matters), Wednesday, 27 May 2009 15:09 (sixteen years ago)

Y'know I honestly think sometimes I'm the least cynical person in the world.

If You Lived Here You'd Be SB'd By Now (Noodle Vague), Wednesday, 27 May 2009 15:11 (sixteen years ago)

not gonna get into a civil war party discussion on this thread. watch michael collins after drinking a shoulder of jameson (said intoxicant to be viewed as having the same effect on political judgement as the following 80 years, basically)

U2 raped goat (darraghmac), Wednesday, 27 May 2009 15:13 (sixteen years ago)

NV - was just utilising the ctrl+f function on this thread :D

you're actually my fave dude on the entire messageboard, no lie

sad blue nose hybrid with shit football crew (country matters), Wednesday, 27 May 2009 15:13 (sixteen years ago)

what's jadedness but a heretofore startling lack of cynicism put right, anyway?

U2 raped goat (darraghmac), Wednesday, 27 May 2009 15:16 (sixteen years ago)

wow that made sense when i typed it.

U2 raped goat (darraghmac), Wednesday, 27 May 2009 15:16 (sixteen years ago)

LJ STOP PRAISING ME I CAN'T HACK IT

xpost Yeah I think disappointed optimism is much truer of most people than outright cynicism, which I equate with acting positive but being a sneaky twat on the quiet. Like MPs and such.

If You Lived Here You'd Be SB'd By Now (Noodle Vague), Wednesday, 27 May 2009 15:20 (sixteen years ago)

the reverend a man whose energy seems to know no bounds despite all the shit he puts up with and i admire him forit

BIG HOOS aka the steendriver, Wednesday, 27 May 2009 15:42 (sixteen years ago)

Are there two of these threads? Where's all the love we were spewing about each other last week? Hmmmm. There must be. So much love it can't be contained in one thread. How nice.

mancrush

TAT THY SAD EAGLE (ENBB), Wednesday, 27 May 2009 15:51 (sixteen years ago)

at a quick glance you can tell the UK/US divide by the necessity of including a qualifier amongst the love.

U2 raped goat (darraghmac), Wednesday, 27 May 2009 15:51 (sixteen years ago)

Well I am working on the whole Bear thing so who can blame the guy?

If You Lived Here You'd Be SB'd By Now (Noodle Vague), Wednesday, 27 May 2009 15:52 (sixteen years ago)

no twink

sad blue nose hybrid with shit football crew (country matters), Wednesday, 27 May 2009 15:53 (sixteen years ago)

p.s. The occasional thread for terrible uses of the phrase "man crush" (which is to say all of them) was brief but amusing

sad blue nose hybrid with shit football crew (country matters), Wednesday, 27 May 2009 15:54 (sixteen years ago)

yeah I've never used that phrase before in my life. don't know why I started now but it seemed appropriate.
