if ilx was a house on fire, nicole is one of the few i'd save.

Nicole is super awesome, yeah

The Owls of Ja Rule (DJP), Monday, 22 October 2012 16:49 (thirteen years ago)

Aw, thank you. I keep meaning to post to this thread because there are so many posters here I like and think are great but I worry that posting this long list would make me look like some kind of ingratiating suck up. But y'all are great, really.

Sug ban (Nicole), Monday, 22 October 2012 17:17 (thirteen years ago)

I like when piscesx and dog latin get all enthusiastic about something, you post with great positivity. Clarke B too. I like when anybody does it tbh, but I notice you lot more than most.

Sometimes pandemic puts up the best little part-amusing-part-heartbreaking stories, and gets no response. He may wonder if anyone notices. They do.

Ismael Klata, Monday, 22 October 2012 18:00 (thirteen years ago)

mh makes me laugh
goes without saying but lex's fits of petulance/manic enthusiasm abt things (esp Taylor Swift recently) are fantastico

i could have sworn nicole was one of my facebook friends and i looked one day and she wasn't. but maybe that's embarrassing to admit here because maybe she unfriended me because i'm so lame on facebook. or maybe i just had an ilx dream that she was my facebook friend.

scott seward, Monday, 22 October 2012 18:33 (thirteen years ago)

nicole did a *drops mic* irt facebook as i recall

charlie the luna (strongo hulkington's ghost dad), Monday, 22 October 2012 18:35 (thirteen years ago)

Clarke B is a really great and often under-appreciated poster. I always like it when he draws analogies from the world of wine.

Even though Lex and I don't often see eye-to-eye all that often, I still enjoy his posts a lot. Really knowledgeable and forthright poster.

Contenderizer has a great way of explaining often quite abstract concepts in simple, understandable terms. Number of times he's managed to translate my rambling flights of fancy into succinct intelligible English sentences while others do the internet equivalent of raised eyebrows.

Vegemite Grrrl strikes me as a really fun person to be around

ENBB - makes me laugh on probably more occasions than any other poster, and that's saying a lot

I thought I deleted it, but it might still be up -- I was getting too many in-laws and work-related people wanting to friend me and decided it wasn't worth the trouble. I wouldn't intentionally unfriend you!

Sug ban (Nicole), Tuesday, 23 October 2012 12:12 (thirteen years ago)

i didn't really think that you did. just wondered where you went! you can always go under an alias on facebook and just have real friends be your friends.

scott seward, Tuesday, 23 October 2012 13:23 (thirteen years ago)

Nick B is, £ for £, the best punster on this board

乒乓, Tuesday, 23 October 2012 13:26 (thirteen years ago)

I like Nick B very much.

ENBB, Tuesday, 23 October 2012 13:30 (thirteen years ago)

Also, DL - thanks! I don't really think of myself as funny so that's pretty awesome.

ENBB, Tuesday, 23 October 2012 13:31 (thirteen years ago)

nick has been the lateryear ali of puns lately, every hit counts

i will fondue, and i will killue (darraghmac), Tuesday, 23 October 2012 13:42 (thirteen years ago)

hey ilfooty- y'all the best, ok?

i will fondue, and i will killue (darraghmac), Tuesday, 23 October 2012 13:48 (thirteen years ago)

yeah that's what I was going to say, ILF is definitely where I feel I know the people more, the rest is so big and I feel I just dip in now and again. also the running thread and london restaurants.

Know how Roo feel (LocalGarda), Tuesday, 23 October 2012 13:51 (thirteen years ago)

Thirded, and would've felt silly saying.

Ismael Klata, Tuesday, 23 October 2012 13:54 (thirteen years ago)

if u didn't keep dipping in to lindon restaurants maybe u wouldn't need to visit the running thread think about it

i will fondue, and i will killue (darraghmac), Tuesday, 23 October 2012 13:54 (thirteen years ago)

i was about to say "yin and yang".

Know how Roo feel (LocalGarda), Tuesday, 23 October 2012 13:56 (thirteen years ago)

dog latin that's very nice of you to say -- however I should refer you to the 'absent minded' thread because I think evidence would show I'm borderline dangerous to be around :)

set the controls for the heart of the sun (VegemiteGrrl), Tuesday, 23 October 2012 15:19 (thirteen years ago)

I have lately been appreciating sic's sharply observant sarky asides, they're always spot on and make me lol lots.

Una Stubbs' Tears (Trayce), Tuesday, 23 October 2012 22:57 (thirteen years ago)

sic is v much appreciated by me with his giant brain of remembering in the Dr Who thread

set the controls for the heart of the sun (VegemiteGrrl), Tuesday, 23 October 2012 22:59 (thirteen years ago)

as a proper nu-parent that i am , there are no favourites in my world.

i love you all the same (hence why i cannot vote in the mod thread !)

mark e, Tuesday, 23 October 2012 23:04 (thirteen years ago)

Been on ILX a bit over a year and like you all very much!

*tera, Wednesday, 24 October 2012 00:25 (thirteen years ago)

Recently entered my second decade of fucking hating threads like these.

Three Word Username, Wednesday, 24 October 2012 07:17 (thirteen years ago)

I've long been a fan of three word username's honesty and shoot-from-the-hip style.

sug ones (omar little), Wednesday, 24 October 2012 07:23 (thirteen years ago)

Disarmed, but my hate lives on.

La Lechera makes me want to visit Chicago, so we could go thrift shopping, show going, and nerd out about language together

set the controls for the heart of the sun (VegemiteGrrl), Wednesday, 24 October 2012 18:41 (thirteen years ago)

omar little's always seemed pretty smartly grounded in life, especially when dealing with random shitshows.

Ned Raggett, Wednesday, 24 October 2012 18:43 (thirteen years ago)

omar little is ilx's action hero.

set the controls for the heart of the sun (VegemiteGrrl), Wednesday, 24 October 2012 18:45 (thirteen years ago)

Had I been a JFK casting director, omar would play Jaspar.

All that and a couch too.

Ned Raggett, Wednesday, 24 October 2012 18:48 (thirteen years ago)

Let's revisit this idea next summer? I usually have plenty of time on my hands and don't forget the Museum of Surgical Science.

these albatrosses have no fear of man (La Lechera), Wednesday, 24 October 2012 18:50 (thirteen years ago)

horseshoe always has smart things to say and i'm always glad when she shows up on any thread.

i'll always be grateful to alfred for getting me to read 'harriet the spy' and 'the long secret.'

i kinda love difficult listening hour's posting style so much i have to actively stop myself from trying to write more like him.

aimless always sounds so authoritative when he posts. whenever he shows up on a thread it's kind of like gandalf's just swept into the room and told everyone what's REALLY about to go down.

(The Other) J.D. (J.D.), Wednesday, 24 October 2012 18:54 (thirteen years ago)

Alfred makes me feel loved every time he pinches me with an All About Eve quote.

Bobby Ken Doll (Eric H.), Wednesday, 24 October 2012 19:11 (thirteen years ago)

Cut! Print it! What happens in the next reel? Do I get dragged off screaming to the snake pits?

happy little (clouds), Tuesday, 30 October 2012 13:48 (thirteen years ago)

caek knows all manner of stuff about deeply scientific subjects, while remaining personable and pleasant; this makes him awesome.

Aimless, Thursday, 8 November 2012 20:16 (thirteen years ago)

Ned Raggett is still as cool as he was when I met him thirteen and a half years ago. (cool as fuck tbh)

❏❐❑❒ (gr8080), Friday, 9 November 2012 06:50 (thirteen years ago)

Hey, thank ya sir, too kind. And you clearly are the King of Oahu and points beyond.

Ned Raggett, Friday, 9 November 2012 06:59 (thirteen years ago)

Co-sign that. Ned's the best.
