HUSH!

Yanc3y (ystrickler), Thursday, 3 April 2003 19:25 (twenty-two years ago)

Forget everything I ever said positive about the White Sox. They blow.

Exhibit B why I hate closers and saves is a meaningless category: Billy Koch.

Mr. Diamond (diamond), Thursday, 3 April 2003 20:18 (twenty-two years ago)

D. Marte 0.1 0 2 2 1 0 0 27.00

I dodged a bullet!

felicity (felicity), Thursday, 3 April 2003 20:27 (twenty-two years ago)

Billy Kock, Mike DeJean, Jose Jiminez = why a "tanking saves" strategy may have been appropriate this year.

Mr. Diamond (diamond), Thursday, 3 April 2003 20:29 (twenty-two years ago)

As a fan of set-up/mop-up specialists, I prefer "blow and vulture."

felicity (felicity), Thursday, 3 April 2003 20:33 (twenty-two years ago)

sosa almost got 500... almost.

gygax! (gygax!), Thursday, 3 April 2003 20:36 (twenty-two years ago)

Hatteberg, you suck.

felicity (felicity), Thursday, 3 April 2003 20:43 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm going with a "tanking pitching stats" strat. Kevin Millar i luv u!

Leee (Leee), Thursday, 3 April 2003 20:46 (twenty-two years ago)

Except for holds. I will rock you with holds.

Leee (Leee), Thursday, 3 April 2003 20:46 (twenty-two years ago)

I'll trade you my brilliant rejected team name "Holds Win Pennants," Torii Hunter and Rocky Biddle for Paul Lo Duca and Danny Graves.

felicity (felicity), Thursday, 3 April 2003 20:50 (twenty-two years ago)

Actually, I don't understand why you have Graves as a SP. SHould he be racking up the saves for you?

felicity (felicity), Thursday, 3 April 2003 20:52 (twenty-two years ago)

m m m . . . Danny Graves :)

felicity (felicity), Thursday, 3 April 2003 20:54 (twenty-two years ago)

felicity: who would field yr ALL HOTTIE TEAM?

Yanc3y (ystrickler), Thursday, 3 April 2003 20:59 (twenty-two years ago)

SD starter Jake Peavy: 7 SOs in 2.1 innings against the Dodgers so far. Holy shit. (and for further embarrassment: i also dealt him in that prior-washburn deal...)

Yanc3y (ystrickler), Thursday, 3 April 2003 21:05 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh yeah, the Padres are the new Marlins with their young pitching. I have lusted after Jeremy Fikac for a while . . .

felicity (felicity), Thursday, 3 April 2003 21:12 (twenty-two years ago)

Well I know Bean e snapped him up but I was a fan before that.

felicity (felicity), Thursday, 3 April 2003 21:12 (twenty-two years ago)

I have often thought about the All-Hott team. Believe. I'll have to review everyone's eligibility and get back to you.

felicity (felicity), Thursday, 3 April 2003 21:13 (twenty-two years ago)

Hmmm.. are you high on Peavy Yanc3y? He's still available in my other league.

Mr. Diamond (diamond), Thursday, 3 April 2003 21:14 (twenty-two years ago)

ladies and gents, HERE COME THE ROYALS

maura (maura), Thursday, 3 April 2003 21:15 (twenty-two years ago)

I definitely am. Last year he pitched pretty well. He's a SO guy who probably won't get many wins (being that it's the Pads, after all), but should be reasonably solid. My guess though: next year or the year after he'll really explode.

Would A-Rod start at SS for you, felicity? Do you take into account their ability when surveying the entire "package?"

Yanc3y (ystrickler), Thursday, 3 April 2003 21:17 (twenty-two years ago)

ugh, 84 pitches in 4 innings though. 4 BB. That's living dangerously...

Mr. Diamond (diamond), Thursday, 3 April 2003 21:17 (twenty-two years ago)

True. It's the classic young pitcher problem (see Prior): Trying to strike everyone out. Though it seems that Peavy nearly does!

Yanc3y (ystrickler), Thursday, 3 April 2003 21:19 (twenty-two years ago)

I do not like A-Rod at all and I only know things about him because he is a good player and brings a lot of publicity to baseball. He was the only play I set my default Yahoo draft to skip over. When I shopped for mitts there were so few I could look at because the good Rawlings ones are mostly A-Rod and Jeter.

felicity (felicity), Thursday, 3 April 2003 22:04 (twenty-two years ago)

ROCCO BALDELLI

Chris V. (Chris V), Thursday, 3 April 2003 22:17 (twenty-two years ago)

Wow. 5IP. 11k. Wow.

As for Graves, the Reds are trying to Lowe him into a starter.

Leee (Leee), Thursday, 3 April 2003 22:47 (twenty-two years ago)

ha ha

bnw (bnw), Friday, 4 April 2003 02:46 (twenty-two years ago)

oh yes

felicity (felicity), Friday, 4 April 2003 05:56 (twenty-two years ago)

haha! what I want to know is, why are his shoes so perpetually untied?

Mr. Diamond (diamond), Friday, 4 April 2003 06:13 (twenty-two years ago)

I like the photo where he remembered to bring his mitt to the semi-formal.

felicity (felicity), Friday, 4 April 2003 06:22 (twenty-two years ago)

It's like every picture is saying "felicity, show me the meaning of the 'hold'"

lawrence kansas (lawrence kansas), Friday, 4 April 2003 11:38 (twenty-two years ago)

Well, the Pockets are back in second because I was brilliant enough to draft Baez in the upper rounds.

Baez, the fireballing Cuban with the unhitable split finger, is "Pocket Player of the Week"!

lawrence kansas (lawrence kansas), Friday, 4 April 2003 11:42 (twenty-two years ago)

Spooneybarger looks like Shane MacGowan

lawrence kansas (lawrence kansas), Friday, 4 April 2003 12:19 (twenty-two years ago)

reggie sanders grand slams in the first.

Alfonzo is my least favorite Giant. This guy is a chump and they should have kept David Bell.

gygax! (gygax!), Friday, 4 April 2003 17:36 (twenty-two years ago)

Pirates are out of their mind. Like seriously scary. Reggie Sanders what?

Mr. Diamond (diamond), Friday, 4 April 2003 17:39 (twenty-two years ago)

It's Hacking Mass time. Entries close April 11.

felicity (felicity), Friday, 4 April 2003 17:45 (twenty-two years ago)

Pokey Reese's reign of terror is over. Hitting .050 with two errors and a first name of Pokey the hadwriting is on the wall.

Claim him tomorrow if you dare.

lawrence kansas (lawrence kansas), Friday, 4 April 2003 17:52 (twenty-two years ago)

Pokey hit a homer! Now what.

lawrence kansas (lawrence kansas), Friday, 4 April 2003 19:28 (twenty-two years ago)

Sosa #500. He absolutely crushed it.

Mr. Diamond (diamond), Saturday, 5 April 2003 00:13 (twenty-two years ago)

anybody wanna, like, trade teams?

hstencil, Saturday, 5 April 2003 00:16 (twenty-two years ago)

Mmmmmmmaybe.

David R. (popshots75`), Saturday, 5 April 2003 00:17 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh yeah, y'all get really quiet when I'm tied for first. If Ausmus keeps up his 128 home run pace, I am set!

bnw (bnw), Saturday, 5 April 2003 15:32 (twenty-two years ago)

*a cricket chirps*

lawrence kansas (lawrence kansas), Saturday, 5 April 2003 16:19 (twenty-two years ago)

Felicity's comin on up. Still want to do that trade? :D

Someone answer me this: how does a catcher commit TWO errors 4 games into the season???

Leee (Leee), Saturday, 5 April 2003 16:50 (twenty-two years ago)

Congrats bnw! The Skinny Pups know hwat they are doing. I'm just happy if I am leading ILB in Ks. All else is gravy.

You know the trade might not be so bad, except I was confused, I thought Graves was still closing. Maybe he should be! Hooray for Carlos Zambrano and Juan Cruz.

felicity (felicity), Sunday, 6 April 2003 02:38 (twenty-two years ago)

Leee (Leee), Monday, 7 April 2003 00:32 (twenty-two years ago)

:'''(

James Blount (James Blount), Monday, 7 April 2003 01:20 (twenty-two years ago)

Brett Myers had a nice outing today though so I'm not too traumatized.

James Blount (James Blount), Monday, 7 April 2003 02:04 (twenty-two years ago)

Will trade starting pitching for OPS.

felicity (felicity), Monday, 7 April 2003 03:52 (twenty-two years ago)
