i think it's jones vs deniro for supporting too. Both have trophies, but it's been awhile and while jones has consistently been good in stuff, they might want to encourage deniro to stop doing obvious horseshit and do less obvious horseshit like SLP

best supporting actress: hathaway/field/weaver (and if weaver takes it, it's over)

best supporting actor: jones/deniro (and if deniro takes it, it's over)

best actress: lawrence (and if lawrence doesn't take it, it may not be over)

best actor: cooper/day-lewis/jackman (and if jackman takes it, UH OH)

best picture: winner of best adapted screenplay or LES MIS IN A SHOCKING LOL WELL THAT'S HOLLYWOOD

def true about Weaver winning as bellwether. I'd be genuinely shocked if Lawrence beats Chastain though, only because Oscar only tolerates pretty neurotics in supporting actress turns.
