They have the beer bread and one other at my local 99 Cents Only store and I've been tempted to try it, but based on those Amazon reviews I think I'll continue to avoid. And those prices are ridiculous.

I secretly had hopes it would be tasty, or at least palatable. Unfortunately, Larry the Cable Guy bacon macaroni tastes just how you would expect Larry the Cable Guy endorsed bacon macaroni to taste, like chode.

Except the beer bread mix is listed on Amazon, and at $10. You could buy two loaves of really good bread for that!

For the love of...
I think I'm more irritated by the cookware that doesn't have stupid designs on it because what is it about a Guy Fieri brand Porcelain Enameled Cast Iron Round Dutch Oven (3.5-qt.) that is any better than a Lodge, for example, aside from the fact that the color is listed as "hot rod red"? It's like, hmmmmm I would like a new set of stainless steel cookware so I can trot down to Bed Bath & Beyond and pick up a set from Calphalon's discount line or wait no I will mail order the same thing from the Food Network and pay shipping because it is Guy Fieri brand and I do love donkey sauce.

What I'm saying is that at least the nonstick pans have something about them that sets them apart. It is a hideous thing, granted, and I wouldn't have it in my house but different strokes.
― carl agatha, Tuesday, 18 June 2013 17:27 (eleven years ago) link
unless you are studiously scrubbing the bottom of your frying pan clean every time you use it, that shits gonna get scorched and gunged up and, well, it's gonna kinda get trashed if you actually bought the frying pan to USE it
idk as a frequent frypan user this seems really stupid to me

xxpost to carl -- on the other hand, the good thing about celebrity cookware is that it almost always ends up in the closeout stores for less than name brand stuff, so if you are desperate for new cookware you can get some pretty wellmade stuff for cheap
Tuesday Morning has the Isaac Mizrahi line for closeout prices ATM except it's all fucking PINKPINK
wtf isaac seriously

A little vengeance:
About five years ago, right before I moved to San Francisco, I lived in the North Bay and I worked in a coffee shop. One of our regular customers happened to be Guy Fieri, and let me tell you, he is just as much of a douchebag in person as he is on TV. Maybe even worse. He always came in with this obnoxious air of self-importance, always looked down his nose at us, always ordered an Americano, and rarely (if ever) left a tip. I served him decaf every fucking time, and I don't even feel bad about it. I've never told anyone about this, aside from like three close friends, because I don't want anyone to think that I would ever fuck with their coffee. Just to be clear, I've never done that to anyone else, ever. Just him. Now that I'm five years older and marginally wiser, I still don't feel the least bit bad about it.
