Say something nice about another ILXor

scott, you once called me a brat and i'll never forgive you.

i wanted to say something about amateurist before but my excuse was that i was posting on my phone. i've made comments to him on other threads that i think he took as sarcasm, but we don't share the same tastes and we don't move in the same ilxor circles and i'm mostly reading him and not responding to him in any concrete way. i've been reading ilx for ten, eleven years now, i guess, and he's a guy who i've always paid attention to because: i like his honesty, his sensitivity, his emotional unguardedness. among his posts there are thumbnail pictures of his life that seem a bit vague, maybe, if read in isolation but reward close reading and stalkerish tracking of his life as viewed through ilx.

scott what is your store called? it's in philly, correct?

in terms of nice things to say about another ilxor, i have noticed that sarahell is hilarious

I can personally attest to this as well. One time she sent me a decoy "emergency text" to get me out of a bad date and it was something like "Omg rhonda has a major cat poop problem, you need to help rhmda!" which made me laugh way too hard to pretend that I'd just received an actual emergency text but it did make the awful date a bit better.

that's awesome, i'm sure she is a really cool person to know irl. she was really funny in the "ilx's most hated things" thread and also in the ask markers thread (i think) where she posted a stock image of a graph which she said proved that krispy creme donuts were scientifically and objectively better than dunkin donuts. that kind of thing is always funny to me.

ward fowler is a smart guy and i always look forward to his posts (espec about comics).

anyway, La Lechera has charming enthusiasm about weird shit, Abbott is generally cool, Vegemite is always kind and likes RuPaul's Drag Race, Dayo has good taste in junk food, Homosexual II is really pretty and kind of a badass, Dan Perry is comfortingly predictable in his juvenile sense of humor, Spectrum has kept the depression thread alive & looked pretty cute on the WDYLL thread he posted on, & Aimless seems like a good person

Stevie D(eux) seems straight-up fun, I like elmo on the masculinity thread & contender has a lot of good posts despite being slightly maddening on the HIV thread

emilys otm. homosexual II is smokin' hot and has some interesting stories, seems to have a certain kind of equanimity too and often v funny. i associate her with nicole, enbb and carl agatha, who are also smart and often hilarious people. jordan s, reverend, some dude, DJP posts/threads about r&b/hip-hop are engaging, enlightening and consistently lolworthy, especially in the deployment of gifs. dayo also a gif master. elmo always has intelligent things to say in the style thread, among others, and i admire his taste and acuity. i'm another who has learned a lot from alfred, and i appreciate his devilish wit. dmac also very quick-witted, makes me envious. slocki and eric h make me laugh a lot but also very knowledgeable about movies. also, scott, you are awesome.

Pretty much the best group of ladies to be associated with ever imo.
