Until yesterday I could restrict a Twitter search (on tweets, not Twitter names) to just people I was following. Now I can't. Wah!

i can still do that but if they've taken that function away i will murder them, low-key the most helpful twitter thing there is

i am not gonna look at the true detective thread rn due to hbo go meltdown but is there an app or page or plugin or something that will text-to-speech tweets in realtime so i can search twitter for say "hbo go down" and then my computer will recite the tweets as they are made in a soothing computer voice and i can run a bath and get in and slit my wrists and gently bleed out while i listen because if people on twitter are in any way a representative sample of contemporary us of a humanity i don't want anything to do with this world thx

the most prominent element is yr header photo which has like nothing to do with anything

the thing is twitters stuff isnt working that good recently, their adoption rate has slowed a lot, like instagram is about to pass it in users

Did they roll out that change where if you're on a persons profile the font size of the tweet changes accordig to how many retweets and favs they had

then you go to your grandma's profile and everything is in 2pt font

This is what I'm talking about although when I first started seeing it there were like 4 different font sizes & I would always have to open a favorite user's profile in incognito mode to get rid of it

Looks like they rolled it out to everyone now though

the hilarious thing about that "how to get to the new profile" article on Techcrunch is that I've had a gigantic banner ad on my browser for at least the past week that said "CLICK HERE TO TRY THE NEW PROFILE"

man that big text thing for clicks is stupid

its a totally standard way to highlight something like do u think headlines in a newspaper shd all be the same size, if it was directly proportional to likes or whatever it wld be dumb but its just a way to give a few popular tweets more visual prominence, u cld argue its against the twitter cascade ethos but it def makes more sense than the lol big banner image
