cozen (Cozen), Thursday, 13 October 2005 07:19 (nineteen years ago)

I give in... would anyone be so kind... can a glasgow ilxor with a full copy of lost season 1 make me a copy, please?

in the meanwhile, I'll see if I can get the start to season 2 through the usual channels... I can't watch telly programs weekly anymore... torrents and DVD has ruined me

cozen (Cozen), Thursday, 13 October 2005 19:25 (nineteen years ago)

WILL TRAVEL FOR LOST

cozen (Cozen), Thursday, 13 October 2005 19:25 (nineteen years ago)

I would (and will) offer, but I bet someone else more efficient actually comes through with the goods before me.

ailsa (ailsa), Thursday, 13 October 2005 19:27 (nineteen years ago)

I have lost

so much

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 13 October 2005 23:46 (nineteen years ago)

A new month is approaching and my mind turns to Big Dinner: can Glasgow ILX manage two in two months? The Greek thread is making my eyes water. Shall we continue our culinary odyssey at Konaki?

Mädchen (Madchen), Thursday, 20 October 2005 12:30 (nineteen years ago)

Somewhere new please.

Alba (Alba), Thursday, 20 October 2005 12:34 (nineteen years ago)

your new flat?

grimly fiendish (grimlord), Thursday, 20 October 2005 12:35 (nineteen years ago)

hogmanay!

lauren (laurenp), Thursday, 20 October 2005 12:37 (nineteen years ago)

room

cozen (Cozen), Thursday, 20 October 2005 12:41 (nineteen years ago)

Not my new rooms. No one enters my new rooms.

New Year, yes. I was thinking about that yesterday. I'm going to be up here, I think.

Alba (Alba), Thursday, 20 October 2005 12:42 (nineteen years ago)

joanna blythman said it was sexy and seductive

cozen (Cozen), Thursday, 20 October 2005 12:42 (nineteen years ago)

I don't want to go to room

48's bistro

cozen (Cozen), Thursday, 20 October 2005 12:43 (nineteen years ago)

travelling up then isn't exactly a bargain, but i was expecting that to be the case.

lauren (laurenp), Thursday, 20 October 2005 12:43 (nineteen years ago)

I liked it last time and anyway it's only new for the people who went out for Cathy's birthday and anyway I've been told that Antonious is inferior.

I am going to be here for Hogmanay too.

Mädchen (Madchen), Thursday, 20 October 2005 12:44 (nineteen years ago)

cozen (Cozen), Thursday, 20 October 2005 12:46 (nineteen years ago)

Room pisses me off. There's Glasgow's really smart, elegant top-end hotel, 10 Devonshire Gardens, wins awards and that, Clooney stays there. Then the whole look gets ruined by a tacky (lop-sided) sign outside for Room saying virtually: "Come on in! Hen parties welcome, children's menu available, Happy Hour all day Wednesdays!"

It's bringing down the area.

Alba (Alba), Thursday, 20 October 2005 12:46 (nineteen years ago)

I might text the Metro about it.

Alba (Alba), Thursday, 20 October 2005 12:46 (nineteen years ago)

We were asked to consider Room's rather unimaginative Christmas menu at work the other day. I think we're just going to one of the hotels up the end of Argyle Street now.

Mädchen (Madchen), Thursday, 20 October 2005 12:48 (nineteen years ago)

Also, its logo is really naff.

Alba (Alba), Thursday, 20 October 2005 12:49 (nineteen years ago)

Hate the Room!

Alba (Alba), Thursday, 20 October 2005 12:50 (nineteen years ago)

easyjet or ryan air??

lauren (laurenp), Thursday, 20 October 2005 13:00 (nineteen years ago)

Easyjet!

Alba (Alba), Thursday, 20 October 2005 13:03 (nineteen years ago)

room sounds kinda contrived.

we should go to the greek golden kebab on the south side. and no, not just because it's a bawhair away from my house.

failing that, we should just go to the PUB.

grimly fiendish (grimlord), Thursday, 20 October 2005 13:04 (nineteen years ago)

room's logo looks like a weirdo's knuckleduster

cozen (Cozen), Thursday, 20 October 2005 13:06 (nineteen years ago)

A mutant's handcuffs.

Alba (Alba), Thursday, 20 October 2005 13:07 (nineteen years ago)

Haha, Grimly thinks he can tempt ilx sarf of the river. Ooh, but there is that good-looking Kurdish place on Pollokshaws Road which I want to try.

Mädchen (Madchen), Thursday, 20 October 2005 13:13 (nineteen years ago)

I don't want to pull a good-looking Kurd. Actually maybe I do. I was assuming it was all men, for some reason. How sexist. Or is it homophobic? Or racist?

Alba (Alba), Thursday, 20 October 2005 13:14 (nineteen years ago)

Hang, on. We're not going out on the pull, are we? I'm getting confused with the conversation I am having with my colleagues about our Christmas do.

Alba (Alba), Thursday, 20 October 2005 13:15 (nineteen years ago)

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 20 October 2005 13:20 (nineteen years ago)

are there any turkish restaurants, in glasgow?

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 20 October 2005 13:20 (nineteen years ago)

not that'd I'd go

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 20 October 2005 13:21 (nineteen years ago)

Cafe La Padella is kind of Turkish.

Alba (Alba), Thursday, 20 October 2005 13:26 (nineteen years ago)

that good-looking Kurdish place on Pollokshaws Road

koshkemeer? YES, IT LOOKS ACE. let's go there. now.

grimly fiendish (grimlord), Thursday, 20 October 2005 13:27 (nineteen years ago)

I tried and failed to persuade Stet to go there last night. There was one near the Snaffle, but I think it's closed down. Aren't a lot of the Turkish people here actually ethnic Kurds who have done a runner?

Mädchen (Madchen), Thursday, 20 October 2005 13:27 (nineteen years ago)

ethnic Kurds

I think

Mädchen (Madchen), Thursday, 20 October 2005 13:29 (nineteen years ago)

Let's talk about Turkey's human rights record, for Cathy.

Alba (Alba), Thursday, 20 October 2005 13:31 (nineteen years ago)

There = Padella. He is up for 'the Kosh'.
(X-post again, I can't keep up)

Mädchen (Madchen), Thursday, 20 October 2005 13:31 (nineteen years ago)

the argan cafe?

seb's?

mediterranean, more than turkish

cozen (Cozen), Thursday, 20 October 2005 13:33 (nineteen years ago)

I tried and failed to persuade Stet to go there last night

tell him he's a big chumper.

and to check his e-mail.

i'm not really up on the turkish diaspora, but i do know that lots of people have told me koshkemeer - which styles itself "scotland's first kurdish restaurant" - is absolutely MIGHTY. as long as you like lamb, that is.

grimly fiendish (grimlord), Thursday, 20 October 2005 13:34 (nineteen years ago)

When I worked in the tall flats on Red Road, there was a lovely Kurdish woman called Neriman whose dream it was to own a cafe. She was doing her food hygiene certificate and looking at a place near the university at the time (about 3 years ago). I've often wondered what happened to her.

She used to sing me the Turkish version of Kiss Kiss too!

Mädchen (Madchen), Thursday, 20 October 2005 13:39 (nineteen years ago)

I don't like lamb

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 20 October 2005 13:41 (nineteen years ago)

you worked in the red road flats?
