Like to s/o the ilx takoma brigade crew, all very nice & supportive & knowledgeable folks who have done me a lot of good musically & personally

But overall, like honestly I know it's always been fashionable to dump on ilx or decry the precipitous decline etc, but on the whole it's fairly remarkable how generally nice & intelligent everyone is. Sometimes a Google search takes me into rougher waters & I'm blown away by how dumb & mean most of the net is.

I know I go off on weird tangents or seem to get overly upset at things sometimes, but I try and step away before accidentally personally attacking anyone. Even if I don't seem to agree with anything anyone says I appreciate everyone's contributions and this is a super chill place for the most part. I can't count the number of amazing videos or music or books or movies or ideas that I've been introduced to. Just wish I was a better writer/communicator in general...

I have enjoyed mookie and sloth's posts on the ncaa hoops thread as well. sloth also fantastic on the nba thread, where I generally keep quiet and let the grownups talk (feel like some ilx hoops chat is next level). Mordy is a favorite, of course. also, I am glad that clouds is back! and a shout out to everyone that posts on the what's cooking thread because I always learn so much.
