I've been loving the hell out of a recharged k3vin k in the political threads.

I've loved reading both k3vin and your own posts (missed your good mornings! when you didn't post them!).

Also, ShariVari. Would love to pick his brain over some borscht some day.

Might not sound like a compliment but for me Alfred is the least predictable regular poster in terms of opinions.

In this forum since we don't have avatars it takes me longer to assemble an idea of who each poster is and what they're like. There are lots of posters I still get mixed up. Most of those "(name) in (place)" posters are just jumbled together for me.
I've seen a lot of your opinions on films and music but I still haven't figured out what your favourite types of things are or what you're likely to say.

alfred can and does write professional film criticism and does so independently here without compensation

soto's film criticism perhaps falls short of jonathan rosenbaum's but i would trust his opinion over more or less any other film writer on earth

But I really like Fizzles on I LOVE BOOKS! So tremendously well read and also unfailingly generous, polite, open, interesting, and self-critical to a fault.

for real though the above posters are wonderful and their presence on a thread often tips me toward trying to contribute something rather than just observing( for better or worse), and i'm sure that's true for other people too
