nobody confirmed anything about there being any delicious mayo. American mayo is disgusting. I have only ever had processed mayo and quite like it. But if it didn't exist I couldn't imagine asking someone in a sandwich shop to rustle us up some raw egg yolk with mustard and olive oil, and dollop it on please.

agreed - i like a tuna or swordfish steak well enough, it's nice in a hot country with a light side or whatever, but it is like the fish version of chicken breast.

Can of tuna, salt, pepper, red chilli flakes, hint of cider vinegar, spring onions, cheddar cheese, all mixed up, put on toast and lightly grilled. That was lunch today. And it was mega.

Once I poached a tune steak in olive oil and after letting it cool, I pulled it apart into flakes and combine with mayo, diced kalamata olives, celery, dijon mustard, red onion, diced granny smith apples, pepper, dill and boiled eggs. Spread on crackers was one of the best snacks I've ever made.

I must also concur with this. It's a rather bland fish when cooked as a steak. Probably the best use of good tuna is in sushi. I love spicy tuna rolls.

Tinned tuna is fine if you eat it soon. There are more things that smell bad that people eat. Ever since i moved to LA i find there is a lot more stinky food here that wasn't smelly where i moved from. Might be because LA is warmer and people don't keep foods at the right temperature, but it has made me more cautious of where I'm getting it from -- deli meat, beef and pork for example
