Well hold up, foxy, let's see if this one sticks or not!

For me, today, fucking socks. Why can't I find good socks? Why do these shits have to slide down all the time? Why are all socks that go above your ankle apparently made for people with pipe cleaner legs? Why do sock companies hate cotton?

The tall shelf in the refrigerator should be for the things that need to be on the tall shelf. Short things - especially short, wide things, like a tub of hummus - should be on the shorter shelves, else they eat up the space one needs for e.g. milk.

The Starbucks I go to has changed their lids so that the second smaller hole that is supposed to let air in when you take a sip is so small that I have to, like, treat the main drinking hole like a straw. And, sometimes, it's like the machine that was supposed to pierce that smaller hole didn't get to the lid that they gave me so there's no way I'm getting the amount of coffee I actually want when I take a sip.

drives me crazy too
protip- i keep an old ballpoint pen handy for this reason, so i can punch the smaller hole through if needed

I almost made a complaint about it this morning.

I am currently having this issue but with underwear. Why is all mens underwear really comfortable with soft wide elastic that doesnt curl up or dig in, but YOU CANNOT FIND THIS IN WOMENS UNDERWEAR. It is INSANE. Even so called "boyleg" knickers are still tiny scraps of material with SMALL TIGHT ITCHY ELASTIC.

ugh I'm so tired of hand-wringing white people on social media. On FB thread a bunch of writers posting tributes to Denis Johnson, when the inevitable dunce posts "I'm only seeing white voices here. I feel like I'm in an exclusively white space. I need to hear what writers of color thought of Denis Johnson's work."

While we are talking horn honking, I hate it when someone too far to see the intersection starts honking at the stopped traffic, even though there is a wheelchair/old lady/group of little kids slowly crossing the intersection and everyone is stopped and waiting for a reason. So you, asshole in the back, first assume everyone is stopped for a reason. And then, give them a few seconds, jeez. You dick.

That lute is not historically accurate for the period of the founding of London, nor for the founding year of that insurance company, nor for whatever period is supposed to be evoked by a swan-shaped paddleboat. And none of it goes with his outfit. So what the actual royal fuck?

i'm also IA about most comedy movies lately, they all seem to cast from the same pool of ten people and are all about suburban squares getting turnt or just generally losing their shit -- 'office christmas party', 'horrible bosses', 'rough night', 'sisters', 'neighbors', the forthcoming release 'the house' (w/of course will ferrell and amy poehler), any number of others. i guess this has been a trend for awhile but damn i don't need to see any movies like this again nor any of these people in any movie again.

First of all, when did you move to Canada? Because even though you're speaking English and your time stamp matches mine, there's some funny "kg" gibberish popping up in your post.
Second, you make a valid point. What is going on here?
4lb bag costs 6 dollars
So does an 8 lb bag (a little less than 4kg) = $12?
No, but the the 16.5 lb bag is only $12.50!

It pisses me off that weather forecasts vary so much. Weather channel telling me low 90s this weekend. Some other app I have calling for almost 110! I assume no one is outright inventing the numbers, and have to be getting the numbers from somewhere, so why do the forecasts differ so much?

The local newspaper shop has new weekend staff. They have given me the wrong change the last 6 times I've been in there. I'm embarrassed to go in there again. (Yesterday for example, i got 1.10 change from a fiver for a 2.90 paper. Sometimes they give me too much, but that's easier to fix)
And today I have a voucher for the observer, it'll blow their tiny minds.

My memory stick appears to be dying after 6 months use.Have noticed it is over heating, Or is at least really really hot. It's the one that I was complaining about being too small a few months ago. I'm just realising taht heat may be down to there not being any way for it to cool down because it is so small, not sure though. Is that true of every memory stick anyway?
But programmes I'm watching on it are just cutting out at random points which I'm assuming is related to it overheating.I'll be in the middle fo somebody speaking and it will just cut out and restart.
Shame since it was a 32GB thing which was useful.
Now got a new larger thing but it seems to be taking forever for things to load to it.I'm getting stuck with single tv programme files claiming that they are going to take 15 hours to transfer which is ridiculous.
May have gone down a technology generation in what I bought locally. USB 2 not 3 but that can't be right.
