I think people generally WANT followers unless their account is friends-only.

i think i might get one, realised there was quite a few folk who i'd like to follow. Though no doubt my tweets will be ultra inane.

It's depressing when 99% of people who start following you are not actual people but evil spam bots.

evil spam bots or otherwise people who just seem to have nothing in common with you. that's unfortunate, because i'm always looking for cool new people/entities to follow.

everyone should follow my friend @bookbrothel and join in on her book-related contests! (She has a lot of publishers anxious to send people free books.)

there's all kinds of music bloggers or whatever that have 3x as many followers than me, and they all follow 1,000+ people. Just adding people to juke your stats number is the saddest shit in the world imo

Any suggestions for software or websites to manage multiple twitter accounts (on Windows)?

I've ended up with 3 twitter identities with distinct purposes and am finding it a real pain to switch from one to the other. I'd love a website where I could quickly select which one I was viewing or posting as via a simple drop down box, or via a series of tabs...

Is such a thing possible? Available?

There's one account for the friends and one for stalking pop stars and the foods they eat. Never confuse the two.

Yeah, and it's quite something how Twitter has grown out to be the biggest source of information from Iran, since most journalists are being thrown out or held in prison.

There is another twiterrer (tweeter?) that does that except for all tweets with the word "cunt". And he even directed it at me so I was massively confused at seeing the exact same msg from two people.

i'm reading the "trending topics" posts marked #YourGhettoWhen. it's somewhere between jeff foxworthy and "stuff white people like."

iPhone TweetDeck: initially confusing, quickly great. Syncing with the desktop version not quite as easy as it should be.

I'm not understanding the 'mark as seen' icon - it doesn't seem to do anything. Actually even the desktop version never seemed to remembered what I have cleared as seen.
