tim trying to pronounce david bautista’s name: “david babusta... barista... bahusta... bayusta... bustadida... bahas... david bayoust”

american bradass (BradNelson), Sunday, 14 July 2019 13:55 (seven years ago)

So... i was waiting for a big mystery reveal about the jury. Does that ever come?

the full marching band "oscar fever" that starts off the third oscars special had me simultaneously howling and thinking this is the best show i've ever seen

american bradass (BradNelson), Monday, 15 July 2019 15:39 (seven years ago)

the "tribute to our fallen actors" bit on the 2nd special that starts with a crossfade of Steve Harvey is one of the series' best moments, I was dying from laughter the whole time (and you can see Tim breaking when they cut to him), but if you showed that bit out of context to anyone unfamiliar they'd think you were nuts for laughing at it

frogbs, Monday, 15 July 2019 15:47 (seven years ago)

the crossfades in the oscar specials are like their own comedic language, kudos to the producers of this show for discovering the worst possible stock images of peter jackson and billy crystal

american bradass (BradNelson), Monday, 15 July 2019 15:48 (seven years ago)

The crossfades feel like the equivalent of Mulaney writing those last-minute Stefan jokes that would make Hader break when he saw them for the first time. Like whoever's selecting those images seems to have a very keen idea of what's gonna make Tim and Gregg have to stifle a giggle.

Logy Psycho (Old Lunch), Monday, 15 July 2019 15:58 (seven years ago)

gregg's tour of middle earth in the third oscars special, holy shit

american bradass (BradNelson), Tuesday, 16 July 2019 01:19 (seven years ago)

Middle Earth, the setting and the place where they filmed not only the Lord of the Rings trilogy but the Hobbit trilogy as well, and as you can tell it's quite a beautiful place to be!

Does the Tim & Eric thread discus who Dr. San is IRL?

Gregg & Zac were former roommates & Gregg put out Zac's former band (dieselhed)'s records 25+ years ago.

american bradass (BradNelson), Tuesday, 16 July 2019 21:01 (seven years ago)

gregg's performance as klington is excellent

american bradass (BradNelson), Tuesday, 16 July 2019 21:04 (seven years ago)

even more impressive given he didn't even know he was filming for the show

frogbs, Tuesday, 16 July 2019 21:17 (seven years ago)

i'm at port of call: hawaii. what a coincidence that kington is a big film buff too

american bradass (BradNelson), Tuesday, 16 July 2019 21:37 (seven years ago)

hah wait until you get to the final episode

frogbs, Tuesday, 16 July 2019 21:52 (seven years ago)

just got to the end of season 10 last night, Tim having to silently eat shit for the last couple episodes is awesome

The cinematography really wowed me in this one! True filmmakers. Peter Jackson would be proud!

american bradass (BradNelson), Wednesday, 17 July 2019 00:13 (seven years ago)

Is season 10 the one that’s filmed in VR? That was such a funny idea

One Eye Open, Wednesday, 17 July 2019 00:15 (seven years ago)

I only just now realized that the last episode of Port of Call Hawaii is Tim's retaliation for Gregg giving away the original ending on On Cinema

Vape Store (crüt), Wednesday, 17 July 2019 00:25 (seven years ago)

"why call somebody that loved driving cars, after he's dead—who cares anymore—why not change his name from 'walker,' which doesn't represent what he does—what he does is drive fast—so you change his name to 'paul driver' or 'paul turbo'"

american bradass (BradNelson), Wednesday, 17 July 2019 01:49 (seven years ago)

lmao that's one of my faves

Vape Store (crüt), Wednesday, 17 July 2019 02:06 (seven years ago)

Interesting how @timheidecker has become what he hates the most--a terrorist. How is he any different than this?: http://t.co/uGCZiLM3gQ

the Decker "Our Values Are Under Attack" just comes into my head at least once a week

Screamin' Jay Gould (The Yellow Kid), Wednesday, 17 July 2019 02:58 (seven years ago)

the pleasure and the curse of this show is that everything else gets warped through its lens. for some reason i'm reading the Please Please Me review on allmusic, and how can you not read this User Review in gregg's voice:

"What a debut by a group or artist. Stunning smashes like "I Saw Her Standing There", "P.S. I Love You", "Do You Want To Know A Secret". and the closer "Twist And Shout" make this a must have album. Every song is worth hearing. Not too many artists get it right the first time out, but the Beatles did."

(five bags of popcorn stars)

Karl Malone, Wednesday, 17 July 2019 05:31 (seven years ago)

Christ, I watched three episodes tonight and then my mom called and I found myself copying Tim’s cadences and stumbles.

... (Eazy), Wednesday, 17 July 2019 06:03 (seven years ago)

yeah unfortunately this show has ruined my ability to speak

american bradass (BradNelson), Wednesday, 17 July 2019 16:47 (seven years ago)

Just bore witness last night to Tim's two near-death experiences over the course of season 8. Just when you think things can't go further off the rails.

Logy Psycho (Old Lunch), Wednesday, 17 July 2019 16:56 (seven years ago)

Y'all should be thankful that Tim's cadence is all you picked up from the show. I'm beginning to fear that this nutritional vaping thing isn't as cool as he made it look.

Logy Psycho (Old Lunch), Wednesday, 17 July 2019 16:57 (seven years ago)

still recovering from my acupunctured face sores tbh

american bradass (BradNelson), Wednesday, 17 July 2019 17:03 (seven years ago)

Fuckin Dr. San, man. Every time.

Logy Psycho (Old Lunch), Wednesday, 17 July 2019 17:04 (seven years ago)

I think Joe Estevez is my favorite character in this show, I get such wholesome vibes from him

frogbs, Wednesday, 17 July 2019 17:45 (seven years ago)

feel the same way about ayaka but i've only just finished season five. it is v weird and compelling to see these nice people in the middle of the most toxic dynamic i've ever seen

american bradass (BradNelson), Wednesday, 17 July 2019 17:48 (seven years ago)

although tim and gregg definitely deserve each other

american bradass (BradNelson), Wednesday, 17 July 2019 17:50 (seven years ago)

I loved loved loved the episode in season 8 when Tim started expressing his sincere appreciation for Gregg and Gregg got suuuuuuper uncomfortable and also could only discuss Tim's suicidal ideation by comparing it to It's a Wonderful Life. It's easy to forget at times that both characters are damaged goods.

Logy Psycho (Old Lunch), Wednesday, 17 July 2019 18:08 (seven years ago)

sorry i meant i had just finished season six. i watched tim's ant-man review during lunch and holy shit

american bradass (BradNelson), Wednesday, 17 July 2019 18:12 (seven years ago)

Yeah. That's still probably a top five highlight.

Logy Psycho (Old Lunch), Wednesday, 17 July 2019 18:12 (seven years ago)
