Gregg's anguish when Tim blows up his VHS collection at the end of Decker: Port of Call Hawaii looks all too real. It kind of hurt to watch.

This show rules. Part of the joke is the bewilderment at discovering how much content they've already produced and kept going without much promotion, quietly adjacent to the Decker universe. This is what Andy Kaufman would have been up to today.

I don't typically catch up with this show on its own, but it's fun to watch within a personalized hour block with videos from other YouTube channels.

I wouldn't say 'hated' but The Comedy is pretty safely my least favorite Heidecker thing.

i've heard mixed reactions on the comedy (mostly bad), but at least this section sounds pretty good:

Swanson's friend Van (Eric Wareheim) shows the group a slide show of photos from his childhood interspersed with pornographic images as a gag. Despite some initial laughs, the group falls silent and everyone appears saddened, including Van, who solemnly continues the slide show.

I guess neither movie is the worst thing I've ever seen but they're both really sad and made me feel like shit.

It's worth watching to see ironic and detached self-amusement taken to its logically nihilistic conclusion, but, yeah, it's just kind of a bummer ultimately.

Gregg full-on broke (and Tim came close) in the Jaws 2-themed Oscar special I just watched when he slighted Tim's drinking by dropping the 'fact' that Robert Shaw died of alcoholism.

I pretty much have just one Oscar special and one season of Decker (out of order, I know, but it wasn't in the YT playlist) and I'm done. Mister America needs to happen pretty much immediately.

I've been streaming these through the Adult Swim ROKU channel, which means no VR episodes (they literally just run footage of randos in VR gear for the entirety of the episodes) and the Oscar specials. I think there's only the latest Oscar Special up there, for some reason.

What I refuse to edit out and now must live with for the rest of my life is my poor, unprofessional behavior throughout the night - I do not like to blame others but I will say that I was under the impression by a man named “Bryan” at Whole Foods in Los Angeles that the champagne marked “Organic” would be non-alcoholic. I also received the all clear from “Maria” at Rite-Aid that Mucinex would be helpful in treating my cold symptoms and that as long as I wasn’t DRINKING it wouldn’t impair my ability to do a great show. I was lied to and deceived by these two and they will pay in their own ways, separately. But, in the end, I’m an adult and must take responsibility for my own actions.

This year's Oscar special is, uhhh...kinda nightmarish? Tim's commitment is compelling but it's a little less fun to watch when he seems legitimately unwell. Massive dark lols @ the Living Oscar, though.

Okay, it was all worth it to see what sure looked to me like Prokch breaking during Tim's batshit 'Bohemian Rhapsody' performance.

I found a discussion online the other day where someone was all 'y'know...I'm starting to suspect that these guys don't actually watch these movies' and people were like 'uh yeah, that's kinda the point' and the op was all 'what's even the point of a show about movie reviews where the reviewers don't watch the movies, why are you wasting your time'. Tim and Gregg would be quite pleased, I feel.
