american bradass (BradNelson), Thursday, 17 October 2019 15:04 (five years ago) link

was tim's fly open this whole episode?

adam, Thursday, 17 October 2019 15:51 (five years ago) link

so who's gonna take a bullet by the end of the season? gotta be Mark, right?

Οὖτις, Thursday, 17 October 2019 15:59 (five years ago) link

tim's good friend mark porch

american bradass (BradNelson), Thursday, 17 October 2019 16:05 (five years ago) link

it's obvious to me that Tim's crosshairs are firmly fixed on Josh Lorton (or Victor Vincent Rosetti).

Jersey Al (Albert R. Broccoli), Thursday, 17 October 2019 16:13 (five years ago) link

I love how the Luke verse as employed in the episode doesn't exactly resemble any of the actual major translations of that particular Bible verse, and instead seems cobbled together from several different versions, fudging the meaning just slightly ("homeland" instead of "homestead") — but is still an actual verse

If Dekar was real (in many ways he is!) he would be tracking down Josh Loran and eliminating him with extreme prejudice

i had to check that josh lorton wasn't a real person playing a character w/ the same name bc the incitement was so intense i was legit worried someone might die bc of a crazed fan

Mordy, Thursday, 17 October 2019 17:30 (five years ago) link

feel it would be remiss of me not to mention the new dril show truthpoint here too. yeah it owes a lot to OCATC but has a similar lols per minute rate and seems extremely promising based on episode 1

the "Private Sector" episode with the acoustic off key version of "Empty Bottle" and the 1-second cameo by the guy who showed up at the trial is just killing me

Cappy Ricks (Walter Brennan) has returned home from a long voyage at sea only to find that his family and business are not as he left them... Cappy Ricks knows he has to end the chaos and set things straight. He brings everyone on his ship as there he can be the Captain and in charge. He has a two day excursion extend into an 8 week voyage. Then they are lost on an uninhabited island. And as in other movies of that period, he uses the island to straighten out the arrogance of the rich ladies and the weakness of sons under mothers dominance.

pplains, Thursday, 24 October 2019 15:18 (five years ago) link

I'd give it five bags of popcorn, and maybe a shotgun shell from "The Real McCoys".

pplains, Thursday, 24 October 2019 15:19 (five years ago) link

was that the first appearance of actual VFA swag

Οὖτις, Thursday, 24 October 2019 15:47 (five years ago) link

If he survives I shudder to think how they’ll top “Tim plays with guns” as a theme.

I know they mentioned in a recent interview that they had previously scrapped an arc where Tim dies and is replaced by his twin brother. But they also recently established (I think in Mister America?) that Tim has no siblings currently living so I think that ship has sailed?

Lucky Pierre Delecto (crüt), Thursday, 24 October 2019 16:38 (five years ago) link

I don't think they'll let anything said previously get in the way of sailing whatever ship they want to sail tbf
