I would say something nice about my friend Tom D, great appreciator of the likes of P-Funk, Lou Reed and Beefheart, and all-purpose piss-taker, but it might only heat up his Scotsman's blood and backfire on me.

This is often the case with my favorite people, but I used to react to some of Stevolende's quirks with mild irritation. Now I recognize that he is never seeking attention, only expressing himself with a rare and wonderful candor. He's inspiring.
