For the curious: 'pomenit' (from the Slavic pominĕti, like most Romanian words with potentially religious connotations) means 'evoked', so 'pomenitul' is 'the evoked one' or 'the aforementioned one' (male), the '-ul' suffix being a definite article (like 'le' in French or 'der' in German, except you append it after the noun). The names of various pomeniți are chanted during Christian Orthodox memorial services, provided you ask the priest nicely ahead of time (Balkanic bribery ftw). At the time I decided to run with this handle, I was listening to a shitty bootleg of Ștefan Niculescu's Pomenire. Un recviem românesc (literally: Evocation: A Romanian Requiem, after Brahms, of course).
