i'm glad he stuck it to that opera guy

I enjoyed this but it seemed kind of an empty exercise w/o the rub of an unwitting audience...would love to see this set in some small podunk room seeded w/just enough Tim fans to prevent him from getting run off the stage.

Neil Hamburger is so ott that it doesn't matter anymore, he's still funny, but those earliest shows were so good
― error prone wolf syndicate (Hadrian VIII), Saturday, 24 October 2020 14:48 (four years ago) link
really good arkansas accent impersonation too
― president of my cat (Karl Malone), Saturday, 24 October 2020 14:49 (four years ago) link
Honestly I didn’t think the Neil Hamburger thing would work with an audience that was in on the joke but it was probably the funniest live show I ever saw
― frogbs, Saturday, 24 October 2020 14:50 (four years ago) link
yeah he's still so good
― error prone wolf syndicate (Hadrian VIII), Saturday, 24 October 2020 14:52 (four years ago) link
Wish those clips of Neil Hamburger on Kimmel were still up and around. It's so great to see both the large studio audience and much of the celebrity panel in a state of befuddled disgust.

I didn't notice Tim's fly was down until he was talking about Huckabee, which was kinda perfect
― Un-fooled and placid (sic), Sunday, 25 October 2020 01:29 (four years ago) link
I mean, when you talk about how great his Jack and his Bobby impressions are, I think he really needs to start adding "Mike" to the mix.
I was just sitting on the couch, going "he nailed it," over and over.

There is a Trump “No More Bullshit” sign I’ve seen at a few houses traveling up to western MD/PA the last few weeks. He’s incredibly tuned into the mindset once again.

My wife lost her mind at that part. Not for any relatable reason- I think it was all in the delivery.

I saw him do pretty much this exact same set in 2015, except instead of his nag wife wanting to go to the opera, she said she wanted to go see the band Train. So he tells a story about driving to the Ticketmaster (complete with mouth sound effects of a car driving to Ticketmaster) and when he tells the guy there he wants two tickets to Train, the guy says "what do you think this is, Amtrak?"

― OrificeMax (Old Lunch), Tuesday, 27 October 2020 16:27 (four years ago) link
i hate to redpill you here but if you have a keen eye you can actually see him looking at his notes throughout the set. i'd fire the production company for not editing those shots out
― diamonddave85 (diamonddave85), Tuesday, 27 October 2020 16:32 (four years ago) link
...He wouldn't do that to us. This is Tim we're talking about here. His word is gold.
― OrificeMax (Old Lunch), Tuesday, 27 October 2020 16:34 (four years ago) link
it's impossible. Tim says no more bullshit, and that includes reading notes during a set, come on
