@Ned - it was from a couple who got to know each other because of MST in 2014, have had an MST wedding... like the show has really been part of the rhythm or the story of their relationship.

yeah, i still haven't made it through all the Netflix episodes, and at this point i doubt i ever will. :-/ i've tried popping it on to unwind at night but the overstimulated fear-of-silence riffing just doesn't mesh with the kind of chill i'm looking for.

I do follow Rifftrax and yeah, that's a partnership that's been pretty great. (That said, per upthread comments when Mike's more questionable choices blew up again last summer, sometimes you gotta wonder about that family.)

the Pluto TV app for Roku has a channel that shows MST3k 24 hours a day year round

My go to when firing that up for background noise while working but I’ve noticed they do seem to be rerunning some of them much more frequently than others. Especially the coiley short.

Well per the video it's the returning SoL Netflix crew at least, and presumably the photo of Oswalt and Day in the promo image confirm them.

just seems weird that they want money for a TV show but won't state clearly who is going to be in the TV show. wiggle room I guess.

Interesting vibes there. The comment about not having to pitch it to a suit .... I wonder, has anyone from the Netflix era ever indicated anything about the show that was in any way pushed from the Netflix end? Or did the nature of the deal give them creative freedom?
