The brother of a friend just completed a book on the Toronto Argos' 1991 Grey Cup. (If you're not from Canada, don't worry about that part.) Trump gets a brief mention in the book, I believe because of some connection to Bruce McNall, co-owner of the team (with John Candy and Wayne Gretzky) who went on to serve time in prison.

Anyway, the punch line: the league's commissioner at the time, mentioned throughout the book, was a guy named Donald Crump.

so the fact that this leaked from the kremlin makes me mistrust it. especially because the kremlin themselves are denying it, creating these mixed messages. it seems like a surkovian stunt -- something the kremlin might have put out there to kick some dust in the air and put trump back in the news cycle.

In the great flood of raw sewage that was the Trump presidency it's his shining moments like this, or when he started rambling about New York cocktail parties to a Boy Scout Jamboree, that illustrate that he is completely unable to empathize with other human beings on any level whatsoever.

That lack of empathy can on the rare occasion produce gold however, such as when he asked the 7-year old kid if he still believed in Santa, "because at that age it's kind of marginal, right?"
