I was a really different person when I first came here - and I don't know where that was, when that was, my memory, it's not just bad, it _cheats_. Like you, I've learned a lot from folks on this board, and honestly a lot of how I've learned it is by saying stupid shit by people who didn't deserve to have my bullshit thrown in their face. And they didn't always take it well, and I didn't always take their responses to my bullshit well, but I learned.

I get the impression you're learning a lot about yourself, and I am honestly so fucking here for that shit, always. My biggest frustration about myself was that for a long time there were some questions that I didn't feel like I had the _right_ to ask, that it would be _offensive_ to ask people about their own experiences, and I was completely 100% wrong about that. So, open invite, any questions you want to ask, even the really stupid ones like "Are you gonna get your dick cut off?", I'm here for it (because it's not like I never had questions, or worse, unquestioned _assumptions_, that were exactly that fucking stupid, and I had to learn somehow). sorry i mentioned kids ... just got me thinking of painful break-ups and how several couples I know have "suffered" or "continue to suffer" still together for the sake of the kids, and also financial issues related to kids

no worries, i know people can come at it from really different headspaces :) parenthood is a particularly fraught subject in transfem spaces. people use the fact that a lot of transition stuff leads to infertility as a pretext to invalidate our identities - which doubly hurts because a lot of trans women deeply wish we could conceive and bear children :(
