“I didn’t win the election,” he said.
The admission came in a video interview with a panel of historians convened by Julian Zelizer, a Princeton professor.
Trump also said “the election was rigged and lost”.

is anything actually happening to keep him from winning in '24? it's starting to feel like an inevitability?

most people on this board seemed to think his re-election was inevitable too
obviously I'm guilty of being consistently wrong about these things like everyone else here but my feeling right now is that Trump wouldn't even win the primary. for one, so much of his appeal in 2016 was that he was different than everyone else, which obviously isn't true in an age where people the Bushes are a distant memory and Romney is a severe outlier in his own party. for two Trump himself seems more washed every day, dude can't draw a crowd anymore and obviously now he's banned from social media which is how he got here in the first place. of course I can envision a scenario where Elon Musk strongarms Twitter into letting him back on but I feel like Republican voters may want to rally around someone who is just as dishonest and shitty but younger & without the massive amounts of baggage Trump has

Despite this being word salad, the meaning is clear. He's advocating for national don't say gay laws, and non-recognition of trans identities legally. The WH didn't do it in NOV-DEC 2018, but they will this time.
