I also want getting much from the first paragraph, and I was actually focused on one of the subsections when I accidentally revealed both answers.

Best one in a long, long while. Could see it was a man from dates. First sentence has phrase “at the ____ of his”, guessed it was Time. A little way down is italicised ‘A _____ _______ of Time’, which I guessed would be ‘A Brief History of Time’, so knew it was Stephen Hawking.
