ok I've watched some of Trump's "eulogy" and god damn it's even worse than you're imagining

frogbs, Tuesday, 24 January 2023 15:48 (two years ago)

Funny, when you build a cult around someone who sees everything in terms of whether it is good or bad for him... don't be surprised when he shows up with exactly that spin on everything.

Humoring a malignant narcissist adds fuel to his narcissism, film at eleven.

Yeah, I was watching Jimmy Kimmel talk about it and...it's breathtakingly insane. He was up there for 45 minutes doing a greatest hits set, literally talking about calling Elizabeth Warren "Pocahontas" at a fucking funeral.

but also fuck you (unperson), Tuesday, 24 January 2023 15:59 (two years ago)

really sad/incredible when he was like "low energy....do you remember low energy..."

also wtf was he trying to do with the "I knew Diamond...I didn't know Silk" thing. they clearly met several times, there are plenty of photos of it. I don't think they ever appeared separately and clearly Trump didn't know a damn thing about either of them. like what was he trying to say there

frogbs, Tuesday, 24 January 2023 16:17 (two years ago)

Maybe Silk seemed like kind of a loser until he realized she was the one who didn't die, so therefore was the better one.

Saying you don't even know who someone is is always a good power move to use. Good for birthday parties and funerals.

USA Freedom Kids, sometimes referred to as USA Freedom Girls, are an American girl group known for performing their song "Freedom's Call" at a Donald Trump rally in Pensacola, Florida in January 2016, during his presidential campaign.[2] While the group's manager formerly supported Trump, he claims that the group has never been political, and that they had offered to perform at Hillary Clinton's rallies. The group now supports Biden, re-recording their most known song.

I’m sorry, what

castanuts (DJP), Tuesday, 24 January 2023 16:27 (two years ago)

“We sing patriotic songs at political rallies, how is that political?”

treeship., Tuesday, 24 January 2023 16:50 (two years ago)

he didnt like that so he said i dont know her

not that complicated

lag∞n, Tuesday, 24 January 2023 16:52 (two years ago)

well she said she felt like part of Trump's family so it makes sense he doesn't recognize her

INDEPENDENTS DAY BY STEVEN SPILBERG (President Keyes), Tuesday, 24 January 2023 16:54 (two years ago)

holy shit she really did try to claim she was killed by the vaccine

frogbs, Tuesday, 24 January 2023 16:54 (two years ago)

One presumes DJT just lives in a bubble of sycophants and as long as everyone is constantly complimenting him he's fine. He doesn't have much incentive to distinguish between or among sycophants. His polarized vision can only detect sycophants and enemies. Diamondandsilk was in the Trumpy camp, so he was happy to take them as a unit. One of them dying gave him the tedious task of determining which was which. His brain just fizzled there, because why would he possibly care?

Whatever his motivations it’s funny as hell.

yeah, reading her tweets now. silk believes the vaccines are part of a deliberate depopulation agenda. she also claims that everyone is at risk due to vaccinne shedding -- this is how diamond was allegedly killed by the vaccine. the coroner said diamond died to heart disease caused by chronic high blood pressure.

well sure there are a lot of people going "wow imagine being one of her family members or someone who really cared about her and having this guy just talk about himself for 45 minutes at the eulogy" but, I dunno, it didn't seem like the mourners disapproved of it, I think a lot of these people really do believe their purpose in life is to be foot soldiers on the front lines of the dumbass culture wars

frogbs, Tuesday, 24 January 2023 18:39 (two years ago)

the newish movement to blame covid deaths on people who are vaccinated follows the logic of the old one. they were part of one of the cruelest movements i can recall, the covid denier thing, and their disinformation needlessly killed millions of people who should be alive right now. they were never going to apologize for that or contemplate what they had done. they feed on cruelty, they have to turn it up a notch. blaming covid on those trying to prevent covid is today's escalation. who knows what they will do tomorrow - i'm guessing they will look for ways to punish people who are doing the right thing

Karl Malone, Tuesday, 24 January 2023 18:49 (two years ago)

didn't seem like the mourners disapproved of it

very likely that most of the mourners were dazzled by the idea that a former POTUS, billionaire, and television celebrity agreed to come to the funeral and speak to them. even without all the secret service agents and other trappings of enormous power that's enough to turn most people's brains to vapor.

more difficult than I look (Aimless), Tuesday, 24 January 2023 18:56 (two years ago)

i think one can view it as a tragedy that someone who struggled with heart disease for years could be manipulated into following someone like Trump et al and being an anti-vax advocate who basically accelerated their own death, while also saying "but also fuck this person for spreading this fucked message"

fentanyl young (Neanderthal), Tuesday, 24 January 2023 19:00 (two years ago)

Also, to be very clear about my position on this, all of this is extremely funny

castanuts (DJP), Tuesday, 24 January 2023 21:36 (two years ago)

It doesn't matter whether you win or lose, as long as you WIN

Former president Donald Trump claimed victory in the seniors’ golf championship at his property in West Palm Beach, Florida, over the weekend.

The Daily Mail revealed how the former President orchestrated the feat. “Insiders told DailyMail.com that competitors arriving for day two of the contest on Sunday morning were surprised (although not exactly shocked) to see his name at the top of the leaderboard with a five-point lead over the overnight leader,” the outlet wrote.

“He apparently told members that he had played a cracking round on Thursday, and that would count as his first day’s score.”

The Daily Mail also noted that this is not the first time Trump, a notorious golf cheater, has bent the rules at his own club. The outlet said, “Participants merely shrugged and competed for second place.”

Andy the Grasshopper, Wednesday, 25 January 2023 00:12 (two years ago)

It would not surprise me at all if he started selling the opportunity to lose a round of golf to him. Meaning whatever actually happens on the course, when you get back, he says he won and you nod and smile.

but also fuck you (unperson), Wednesday, 25 January 2023 00:20 (two years ago)

If only all sports were self-officiating

Andy the Grasshopper, Wednesday, 25 January 2023 00:21 (two years ago)

Follows the same logic as stop the steal. When he's in front it's time to stop counting.

I am therefore pleased to announce my future victory in the Super Bowl*

anthony's scaramucci's first press conference as press secretary:

But here’s what I tell you about the President. He’s the most competitive person I’ve ever met. Okay, I’ve seen this guy throw a dead spiral through a tire. I’ve seen him at Madison Square Garden with a topcoat on. He’s standing in the key and he’s hitting foul shots and swishing them, okay? He sinks 30-foot putts. I don’t see this guy as a guy that’s ever under siege. This is a very, very competitive person.

scaramucci-heads will remember that he didn't actually say '30-foot putts', he said '3-foot putts'. the white house communications team just changed it for the transcript. what a weird, weird group of people

It’s hard to believe he is an actual person.

scaramucci-heads

do these exist?

Andy the Grasshopper, Wednesday, 25 January 2023 00:39 (two years ago)

Wait 'til he golfs with Santos and they both win

Andy the Grasshopper, Wednesday, 25 January 2023 00:40 (two years ago)

do these exist?

i'm assuming someone who runs the occupy democrats account is way down deep in this kind of shit

Karl Malone, Wednesday, 25 January 2023 00:42 (two years ago)

whereas i, reminding everyone of how the 30-foot putt mentioned several years ago was actually a reference to a 3-foot putt, float above it trousers unsoiled

Karl Malone, Wednesday, 25 January 2023 00:43 (two years ago)

they could have added "He sinks 3 foot putts, blindfolded.." and I would've been impressed
