on the wrong track at first, geometry, then physics, and then suddenly a new trajectory became clear - but I just entered the first word that came to mind in this context, without thinking that it would be the solution

yeah, that unredacted AN threw me in a similar way as Leee. there was another huge giveaway-ish clue in there tho, a capitalized “Via” that showed up several times

Pretty weak stuff near the bottom:a Chesapeake Bay racing canoe; and a female miniature horse working as a therapy horse inside hospitals and hospice programs!

ledge, Sunday, 26 February 2023 19:47 (one year ago) link

lol @ the second spoiler, I actually did uncover part of that! I saw a song by _____ Smith and tried Patti, and as a follow-up tried "horse." "Game" and then "role" were key to getting this, even though they don't give that many hits.

there was also the Canadian pop-reggae band with an exclamation mark! so terribly bad that I had blocked them from my memory. a Kylie single from a very recent album. a single from fellow Dutchies O’G3NE. zillions of radio stations named after it. but I.just.could.not.think.of.it. if only I’d gotten that ONJ clue!
anyways, when I checked SNA, without me knowing my eyes just happened to catch this thread title: Magic: The Gathering C/D, and my brain lit up

I definitely think I could've gotten a hole-in-one today, since the Biblical angle was pretty apparent. But like the heathen that I am, I couldn't think of many 4-letter people/things until I warmed up a little.

interesting one. took me over 20 guesses to get anything meaningful in. confusingly, words like ‘country’ and ‘city’ didn’t return any hits, which wrong-footed me quite a bit. what would one be without the bible?

Same experience as BC. I got water @ 3 and sea @ 5, but the lack of hits for city/country actually had me considering that we were actually looking for something on the moon, i.e. the Sea of Tranquility. Cardinal directions helped disabuse me of that, though after I tried the Tigris and the Euphrates, I was kind of afraid that I'd exhausted my knowledge of Middle Eastern rivers.
