Brasher's Chapel Church
Church

Not worth my time. The wolves and Jezebels are causing problems in the church, and the leadership is too weak to stop it. If you like to be talked about negatively and lies spread about you then this is the place you, else stay away. -10!!!

Tow Law City (cherry blossom), Tuesday, 7 March 2023 10:26 (one year ago) link

lol I was about to post a Guess The Church for it, but here it is for free

...although I thought it was this similarly-named one at first

meanwhile, we have treeship’s city to guess

yeah I'm afraid I saw the URL on my phone when not on wifi - but go ahead

StanM, Wednesday, 8 March 2023 17:17 (one year ago) link

Yeah I can't partake either as I as saw the URL first too

Tow Law City (cherry blossom), Wednesday, 8 March 2023 17:45 (one year ago) link

Its also a pretty obvious one even without the URL!

Tow Law City (cherry blossom), Wednesday, 8 March 2023 17:47 (one year ago) link

Hmm maybe I shouldn't say that, everything is obvious after the fact, can't really say without unseeing

Tow Law City (cherry blossom), Wednesday, 8 March 2023 17:49 (one year ago) link

I have no idea tbh, which would be explainable if it is indeed a North American town (sorry, city) as was suggested above. hope someone else who hasn’t seen the url can get this one moving

It looks very familiar to me. Which means it is one place, or it is unfamiliar.

OK - not sure where that picture is taken from, but the way I know it is from seeing it on the North Side of the Tappan Zee driving over into the dirty Jerz.

horizontal, Thursday, 9 March 2023 01:10 (one year ago) link

a drone somewhere above memorial park playground I guess, but I can't find the exact link on google maps either

StanM, Thursday, 9 March 2023 07:02 (one year ago) link

nice! not google earth or streetview then?

StanM, Thursday, 9 March 2023 08:21 (one year ago) link

so, for all of us who are not from New York, I’m assuming you’re talking about Nyack, a place I’ve never heard of.

this is the only Niack I know and love

nice! not google earth or streetview then?

chatgpt: The word "yield" is commonly painted on roads in several countries, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand.

is it fuck

ledge, Wednesday, 15 March 2023 15:54 (one year ago) link

western US i guess? never seen those black and white chevrons before but we're driving on the right and there's a US-style street sign in the back there

ciderpress, Wednesday, 15 March 2023 16:18 (one year ago) link

i've found one american roundabout with similar chevrons.

ledge, Wednesday, 15 March 2023 16:20 (one year ago) link

that house is pretty anomalous if this is the western us. also the flora doesn't look right. i think it's aus or nz.

ꙮ (map), Wednesday, 15 March 2023 16:25 (one year ago) link

except they all drive on the left *shrug*

ꙮ (map), Wednesday, 15 March 2023 16:26 (one year ago) link

those roundabout chevrons in the western us are usually yellow iirc. canada?

ꙮ (map), Wednesday, 15 March 2023 16:28 (one year ago) link

i found black and white ones in arizona though not the same exact make

looks like a dry region which is why i said western, dunno if anywhere in canada looks like that foliage wise. maybe i'm being duped

ciderpress, Wednesday, 15 March 2023 16:32 (one year ago) link

state that has white license plate and requires front license plate. california fits both

ciderpress, Wednesday, 15 March 2023 16:42 (one year ago) link

nice one!

StanM, Wednesday, 15 March 2023 17:24 (one year ago) link

Maybe thinking about Oroville with all the rain we're getting?

nickn, Wednesday, 15 March 2023 17:38 (one year ago) link

how did you get it?

ledge, Wednesday, 15 March 2023 19:36 (one year ago) link

holy crap - hats off to you!

StanM, Wednesday, 15 March 2023 20:20 (one year ago) link

Impressive.

immodesty blaise (jimbeaux), Wednesday, 15 March 2023 22:26 (one year ago) link

So there are about as many roundabouts in the entirety of California as in the average UK town?

or something, Wednesday, 15 March 2023 22:50 (one year ago) link

They are not at all common ime, either in California or in most other states.

immodesty blaise (jimbeaux), Wednesday, 15 March 2023 22:54 (one year ago) link

keep your eye on the abandoned green and white building and go round the roundabout - instant time travel!

ledge, Thursday, 16 March 2023 09:59 (one year ago) link

instant time travel!

I wish I could find it again but there's an amazing time travel sequence from 2009 onwards where there is a row of derelict houses, that then get knocked down, becomes a building site, is replaced with a new row of houses, and finally at least one of the houses starts to become derelict again

italia?

ciderpress, Wednesday, 22 March 2023 18:15 (one year ago) link

Not a lot to go there but it looks kind of dry and Mediterranean. Maybe southern Italy or southern Spain.

Zelda Zonk, Thursday, 23 March 2023 08:43 (one year ago) link

Would love a close-up of that crushed red can/cup but otherwise not much to go on.

The chevrons fit Italy/Spain.

Trying to work out what the tall structures on the right are.

Eyeball Kicks, Thursday, 23 March 2023 10:07 (one year ago) link

Ankara?

assert (matttkkkk), Thursday, 23 March 2023 10:40 (one year ago) link

Trees look as though they might be olive trees. Assuming the elevated thoroughfare is a train line, I'm wondering why it has to be elevated in what looks like a flat terrain. In any case an expensive piece of infrastructure so I'm guessing we're looking at a relatively poor region but in a relatively rich country, so still checking out for southern Italy or Spain

Zelda Zonk, Thursday, 23 March 2023 10:56 (one year ago) link

turkish chevrons are red and white

could be italy, greece, or spain

looks like a recently built rail viaduct. probably unelectrified and single track. cant be too many of those

micah, Sunday, 26 March 2023 12:03 (one year ago) link

squinting at the grafitti but other than 5 FMT (maybe) and some weird symbols I don't recognize at all... nothing
