The complete sentences, orderly punctuation, and (mostly) correct capitalization make that tweet/whatever come off surreal somehow. It reads somewhere between a 4th grade book report and a mopey diary entry. Even the words where the first letter (but not the whole word!) was incorrectly capitalized just seem like half-hearted gestures. I feel like they are mailing it in here, maybe even using ChatGPT to cobble together a few Trumpy phrases into something cohesive because he just doesn’t have the energy for it right now.

I thought he still couldn't touch that money for 5 1/2 months, so the stock needs to maintain its value until then. Also I am pretty sure that if a company has a $1.3 billion dollar valuation it doesn't mean you can just cash out all the stock at once because doing so means the value tanks - like Bitcoin has some insane market cap like 1.5 trillion dollars but it's not like you could get anything close to that if all the Bitcoins were sold today

https://www.npr.org/2024/04/23/1246645808/truth-social-shares-windfall-trump-media-technology-group
Former President Trump is set to get $1.2 billion richer — at least on paper. The windfall comes thanks to being rewarded with an additional 36 million shares in Trump Media & Technology Group, the company behind his Truth Social app.The shares are a bonus provided to him after Trump Media traded above a certain level for a set number of days.Trump met that criteria at the close of trading on Tuesday. The new shares raise his stake in Trump Media to 115 million shares, boosting the entire net worth of his holdings in the company to $3.7 billion. The value of Trump's stake has fallen sharply since the company's trading debut in late March after share prices in Trump Media retreated. But it's still a significant potential return given that he's the majority shareholder in a company in which he has invested no money. And Trump could use the money: He's mired in legal cases — including the ongoing hush money trial in New York — and is running again for the White House. But he's prevented from selling his stake until September under his current agreement — although he could try to find ways to negotiate a new deal.

But it's still a significant potential return given that he's the majority shareholder in a company in which he has invested no money.

i don't know, i see how truth social is a complete embarrassment and it's amazing that it is worth more than $0.0000, but as an uninformed spectator to wealthy people i believe that the stock will be a laughingstock that will still somehow be worth billions to trump when he gets paid out in september, and that if trump has money problems in the meantime, he will find at least one insanely evil rich person to spot him a couple hundred million dollars until september, in exchange for what the insanely evil rich person (not trump - the other person here) believes will be very beneficial if he gets another chance to become a dictator in november

would be funny if he just dumped his entire holdings the first day he was allowed, wouldnt work of course the stick would go to zero, but it would be funny, i wonder how much he can sell without it tanking, its kind of a funny sitch where not only can it tank from the over supply of him selling but it can also tank from the public perception of him selling, which i guess isnt different than any founder and big holder of a company, except with trump its maybe more fraught cause the people holding the stock are fans of his rather than just investors

“That nest egg has lost about half its value in the past two weeks as Trump Media & Technology Group’s share price dropped from $66 after its public debut last month to $32 on Friday. But McLain, 71, who owns a tree-removal service outside Oklahoma City, said he’s not worried. If anything, he wants to buy more.“I know good and well it’s in Trump’s hands, and he’s got plans,” he said. “I have no doubt it’s going to explode sometime.””
