This one is even funnier than the "painting" of Melania. The caption reads: "Meeting Mike Lindell at the Waukesha Trump Rally must've been what it was like to shake hands with the Apostle Paul before Christ took the stage at the sermon on the mound."

one thing about seeing Lindell a bunch is that I've always wondered what some of these TV pitchman weirdos were like in real life. like they are all genuinely odd but they think they should be on TV all the time, which is an interesting combination of traits. the on screen personas they develop for themselves are like some Neil Breen creation.

kinda sad for him actually it kinda seemed like he was a fairly normal and thoughtful guy after kicking his addiction and Trump turned him into a raving lunatic

frogbs, Thursday, 2 May 2024 02:45 (six months ago) link

Feel sad for his employees tbh

At THIS point? I don't feel sad for them.

Ned Raggett, Thursday, 2 May 2024 02:52 (six months ago) link

I do feel like religion played a big role in his recovery leading him to getting mixed up with Trump which brought a lot of that manic energy back out

frogbs, Thursday, 2 May 2024 02:55 (six months ago) link

That is the most Wisconsin Republican photo I've ever seen. I suppose they could have Robin Vos in the frame but beyond that, no notes.

The photos from that guy's Twitter have all been manipulated.

There is no way that Lindell is sober based on that photo. Looks like he just came out of 4 day drug fugue to find someone dead in his bathtub.

I know its New York but the fact that there are basically no protestors outside the courthouse (only one today!) when Trump has been repeatedly calling for people to show up is pretty embarrassing

frogbs, Thursday, 2 May 2024 13:58 (six months ago) link

obviously it's because the unfair judge and the crooked nypd have outlawed protest in this once great nation!

During a back-and-forth between Justice Juan Merchan and a defense attorney over alleged gag order violations, Donald Trump appeared surprised by an argument made by his lawyer Todd Blanche.
At the time, Merchan was describing his concern with Trump’s comments, particularly in the hallway outside the courtroom, about the trial.
“When those statements were made, it was your client who went down into that holding area and stood in front of the press and started to speak,” Merchan said. “He went to the press. He didn’t need to go in that direction.”
Merchan added: “Nobody forced your client to go stand where he did that day.”
At the defense table, Trump nodded, seeming to convey that he believed he was forced to speak out.
“Judge, I agree with that,” Blanche responded.
At those words, Trump turned around in his seat to look at his lawyer, seemingly surprised that Blanche conceded a point that Trump disagreed with strongly.

You can check it out on your own, but that footage Kimmel ran last night from the latest rally in Wisconsin with Trump going on about trying the "Vay-gan" food was something.

speaking of, Jimmy Kimmel is being brought up a ton today in court, I forgot Stormy went on his show to claim the letter she signed denying the affair was faked

frogbs, Thursday, 2 May 2024 17:00 (six months ago) link

also seems like the defense's angle is to point out how sleazy and criminal all of Trump's associates are, which doesn't feel like an airtight strategy to me

A loud noise as Emil Bove’s large binder falls off the lectern. He grabs it and refocuses. “That drop was catastrophic for my binder,” Bove says, and hands it to his colleague Todd Blanche. There is laughter in the courtroom.

“So you extracted sums of money from Charlie Sheen?” Mr. Bove asked.

“There was no extraction,” Mr. Davidson said.

Mr. Bove tried again: “You got Mr. Sheen to pay?”

Mr. Davidson refused to answer this time.

“That settlement would be confidential and I wouldn’t it discuss it here,” he said.
