to be fair, i don't think anyone really "cares" about wacky covers. any more than they care about post-donnie darko slowcore new wave/grunge covers. they are just part of the landscape.

i mean the dickies probably perfected the wacky cover in 1979. or the flying lizards did. i was a big fan of golden shower of hits by circle jerks. and "i'm not lisa" by killdozer. but by the time you get to that carpenters covers album you have reached gen x overload and its all downhill from there.
