I'm too old then. I get pissed off at vehicle noise!!

I don't know that I disapprove too much so long as they're only maiming their own, natural selection innit?

Matt (Matt), Tuesday, 1 November 2005 15:02 (eighteen years ago) link

Provided they help old ladies across the road.

Vehicle noise is usually drowned out by all those terrible loud uncouth youths yelling and mp3ing at the back of the bus!

Totally classic especially if you can get them at one of the garish 24 hour fireworks stores in Tennessee

Theyre banned here now :( Cant buy em without a licence. Not that that stops some people.

Trayce (trayce), Wednesday, 2 November 2005 01:56 (eighteen years ago) link

The last time I was around fireworks and firecrackers, someone shoved one through a chicken breast and blew it up. It just left a little round hole! So I'm not too worried about maiming. He hung it on a tree.

A license to thrill!

xpost He hung an enholed chicken breast on a tree? I feel like I'm missing something.

It was Otis, wasn't it.

Trayce, being banned makes them better. Juvenile psychology, but potent. It is almost required that you buy some at the Tennessee border when heading home into Georgia.

Obviously classic. As with most "X in the hands of the general public" threads: America v. the Rest of Y'all.

Roman candle fights w/friends are the awesomest!!!

classic. one of the few highlights of my pyro adolescense, along with my 2400 modem and Jim Lee X-men comics.

plus, my backyard faced the 2nd hole of a golf course, so we'd like the fuse of a thing of firecrackers and hide, then they'd go off right as the golfers tried to swing. Such fun.

Wasn't Otis. Like Otis would think to do that.

Allyzay knows a little German (allyzay), Wednesday, 2 November 2005 03:00 (eighteen years ago) link

Classic: if it's me, because I'm Responsible and know what I'm doing.

Dud: if it's anyone else.

Can we please post this at the top of every ILX thread ever, followed by clear instructions as to the best method for dissidents to shoot themselves in the face?

Patchouli Clark (noodle vague), Wednesday, 2 November 2005 03:05 (eighteen years ago) link

I have never known anyone to be maimed or killed by a damn firecracker. All those kids with the missing digits from M-80's were probably eating apples with razorblades stuck inside 'em last night.
