Feels kinda spammy, but I'd rather do it here than on a Trumans thread.. Trumans Water/Castanets show at the house here (Woodstock area) on Saturday if anyone goes for that kind of thing.

The Reverend, Thursday, 24 September 2009 08:01 (fifteen years ago) link

The Reverend, Thursday, 24 September 2009 08:02 (fifteen years ago) link

The matador. It's my local. Stop by if you'd like! (but I'm not sure how much longer I'll be out tonight tbh.)

Clay, Thursday, 24 September 2009 08:13 (fifteen years ago) link

Oh I was there a few nights ago. I think I will drop by shortly.

The Reverend, Thursday, 24 September 2009 08:29 (fifteen years ago) link

The Reverend, Thursday, 24 September 2009 23:55 (fifteen years ago) link

Nope.

Still can't find a place, super frustrated.

free stfu (The Reverend), Sunday, 27 September 2009 21:16 (fifteen years ago) link

Gorgeous day today, though, amirite?

Aimless, Sunday, 27 September 2009 21:17 (fifteen years ago) link

Meh. I'm couped up inside scouring cl anyway.

free stfu (The Reverend), Sunday, 27 September 2009 21:25 (fifteen years ago) link

Okay, so I got called back by someone offering me a place. Way SW, practically in Lake Oswego. Not ideal, but doable. I hope the people whose house I checked out today get back to me tomorrow so I can have a better location.

free stfu (The Reverend), Wednesday, 30 September 2009 02:07 (fifteen years ago) link

Found a more desirable place, right off the 82nd St. MAX.

kingfish, Thursday, 1 October 2009 04:12 (fifteen years ago) link

Okay srsly and for real:

Saturday night. Drinkin'. All are welcome. I'd love to do it at my local (the B-Side) because it's v. friendly to me and has a covered/heated smoking patio, but alternative venue/date suggestions can be made.

ENERGY FOOD (en i see kay), Thursday, 1 October 2009 05:08 (fifteen years ago) link

oh man that's my birthday, otherwise i'd be there with bells on.

What about earlier in the day? On Saturday night, they're doing a singalong versin of Hedwig & the Angry Inch at Cinema 21, and I'm probably heading there.

The HP Lovecraft Film Fest is also this weekend. I'd volunteer again, but I've done that for the last 4 years, so I'll take a break this time.

Sing-Along Hedwig and The Angry Inch
October 3 at 10:00 p.m.

It’s back! Hedwig and the Angry Inch, the fiercely inventive rock and roll movie musical returns to the big screen and this time you can sing-along! An emcee will get you warmed up and provide you with props to use as the movie plays. There’ll even be a costume contest with special prizes!

kingfish, Thursday, 1 October 2009 06:39 (fifteen years ago) link

Will be there, no doubt.

ENERGY FOOD (en i see kay), Thursday, 1 October 2009 06:43 (fifteen years ago) link

kingfish, Thursday, 1 October 2009 06:54 (fifteen years ago) link

Indeed. Working that day till 7:30, tell me where to be at 8 and I'm there. Wouldn't mind if you made it earlier with me as a late arrival, either.

Haaaaaa. Welcome to Portland.

kingfish, Saturday, 3 October 2009 06:37 (fifteen years ago) link

what can ya do

wit and wisdom (snrub 'n' tug remix) (The Reverend), Saturday, 3 October 2009 06:53 (fifteen years ago) link

Congratulations! Check out Montavilla neighborhood (which I presume is near you). There's a nice new cocktail bar on 79th and SE Stark that has organic/sustainable snacks, fancy pre-prohibition drink recipes, and also $2 PBRs for those inclined. It's across the street from the Academy, a $3 beer theater with 5 screens.

Nate Carson, Saturday, 3 October 2009 08:55 (fifteen years ago) link

Oh yeah, the bar is called Vintage.

Okay, who's up for pre-Hedwig fap tonight? I'm thinking Blue Moon on NW 21st. I don't know any place closer which also ain't douchier.

kingfish, Saturday, 3 October 2009 16:02 (fifteen years ago) link

xxp Yeah, 82nd & Thompson, a few blocks northwards.

I'd be down for the Blue Moon. Not a bad place at all.

wit and wisdom (snrub 'n' tug remix) (The Reverend), Saturday, 3 October 2009 18:09 (fifteen years ago) link

Okay, let's do it then. 8pm, Blue Moon. NW 21st and Everett or whatever it is. Find the dude wot looks like an ilxor.

N-I-C-K, you still down for this?

kingfish, Saturday, 3 October 2009 18:16 (fifteen years ago) link

My housemate is hanging art and playing music at a house on 37th & Alberta tonight. 7pm. They're called Wizard Rifle. Loud and fun.

Nate Carson, Saturday, 3 October 2009 20:11 (fifteen years ago) link

That sounds cool. Maybe cooler than the Blue Moon.
