have you been watching them? is it still making you laugh? yes and yes, in parts - i'm not sure if it's dated well tho.

stevem (blueski), Tuesday, 6 January 2004 12:05 (twenty-one years ago)

It pisses on Little Britain, that's for sure.

Enrique (Enrique), Tuesday, 6 January 2004 12:07 (twenty-one years ago)

It's only not dated well because of the success of its catchphrases - everyone's just bored of them now.

Markelby (Mark C), Tuesday, 6 January 2004 12:10 (twenty-one years ago)

i'll never get tired of the nympho neighbours

stevem (blueski), Tuesday, 6 January 2004 12:11 (twenty-one years ago)

You his wife? Good -- you'll know your way 'round a coffee machine.

Enrique (Enrique), Tuesday, 6 January 2004 12:12 (twenty-one years ago)

in order of funny:

Paul Whitehouse
Charlie Higson
Simon Day
John Thompson
Mark Williams
Caroline Aherne
Arabella Weir

stevem (blueski), Tuesday, 6 January 2004 14:09 (twenty-one years ago)

Fair enough, Stevem - of course, Thompson has other talents, Williams has a fine sketchshow background and Aherne went on to greater things. Which leaves Weir...where?

Michael Jones (MichaelJ), Tuesday, 6 January 2004 14:12 (twenty-one years ago)

In our office, usually - we represent her writing and she's always in here, or phoning up, etc. etc.

Markelby (Mark C), Tuesday, 6 January 2004 14:14 (twenty-one years ago)

tell her to give it up as a bad job will you?

I like Mark Williams - he's great

chris (chris), Tuesday, 6 January 2004 14:19 (twenty-one years ago)

I think Aherne was OK on this programme, actually.

"Right - I *really love* - Chris Evans" - etc.

I will never not be offended by the nympho neighbours.

the fastfox, Tuesday, 6 January 2004 14:28 (twenty-one years ago)

I'd say about 1/3 of the sketches weren't funny and that was the case when I first watched them. But because the show is fast, it doesn't matter.

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Tuesday, 6 January 2004 14:37 (twenty-one years ago)

ten months pass...
revive!

Obviously this show is old hat for you Brits, but what about us Yanks? It's now on BBC America. Should we watch it?

Ken L (Ken L), Friday, 26 November 2004 16:32 (twenty-one years ago)

Watch one episode per series it's all you need.

Jarlr'mai (jarlrmai), Friday, 26 November 2004 16:38 (twenty-one years ago)

It does seem like they always show the same episode:

Bicycle Dynamo 0 Icicle Flapjack 0
Meteorologicos maƱana: scorchio!

Ken L (Ken L), Friday, 26 November 2004 17:01 (twenty-one years ago)

Yes, this really has aged badly. Simon Day still funny, though.

Ally C (Ally C), Friday, 26 November 2004 18:13 (twenty-one years ago)

one year passes...
People seem to like it much better on the other thread.

The Day The World Turned Dayglo Redd (Ken L), Thursday, 23 March 2006 14:42 (nineteen years ago)

I will like it on this thread if you want.
