what drugs do you/have you taken?

I'm often asked if I've never been "curious". Sure, I've occasionally been curious and I certainly don't think all illegal drugs turn people into braindead lunatics, but it can get a bit boring after a while. I stopped drinking for 4yrs because I was bored of it and wanted to see what life was like without (fine). Back on it now and loving it! Smoked 20 a day and gave up overnight. Different strokes for different folks.

If someone pesters me about it put it this way: if a gay friend INSISTED that you try anal sex, would you concede because of peer pressure? If you do you're a fool IMHO, but if you try because you want to, no problem.

BTW -- I have performed consensual anal sex but only with a girl. That's something a lot of recreational drug users would never dare do...!

And, nope I would not take drugs if they were offered to me, partly out of morbid hypochondria and partly to piss off the people who say "oh come on how can you say you don't like something if you've never tried it".

I would never want to inject anything or even take pills (exceptions being medicine and pro-plus, the former is/should be well tested, and the latter is wussy), because unlike drinking or smoking you can't stop after a bit, you take the lot and then you have to deal with whatever, as opposed to thinking "I'm too pissed, I'll give the rest of my pint to Jeremy" and then spilling beer over someone with a silly name.

with that threadbare justification, here is my ENTIRE DRUG HISTORY IN CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER- LEGAL/CAREER-IN-FASCIST-GOVTMNT/SOCIAL RAMIFICATIONS BE DAMNED:
(enjoy)

1. in 21 yrs. I've drunk 50,000 beers. (classic)
2. smoked massive amounts of marijuana in high school. now i hate it. makes me anxious and depressed. (dud)
3. LSD- maybe 5 times. its fun. ehh.
4. mushrooms. once. makes me anxious and depressed. nice colors. the ocean, etc. still- dud.
5. DXM (i.e. active ingredient in cough syrup) classic classic classic. but uhh, that whole brain lesion thing is kind of dud.
6. heroin. dud. once, drunk in Vancouver B.C.
i won't explain the horrible drunken situation i got myself into but DUD DUD DUD. followed by two days of the greatest psychic pain i have ever experienced.
7. ecstasy. once, with close friends. told them how much i loved them. sat on the roof at dawn- suddenly the whole sky broke into an amazing pattern of equilateral triangles, rotating in radial symmetry, and pulsating towards me. (classic). maybe again someday.
8. cocaine. once. coke=sex. um...no comment.
9. salvia divinorium. "the whole room opened up like a zipper": this quote seems accurate. an overwhelming sense of being surrounded by a great organic evil. ambivalent.
9. adderall (my ADD prescription- its ritalin basically-an amphetamine) ambivalent. allowed me to write history papers at great speeds/depth.
10. various anti-deppressants. CLASSIC (i.e. i am still alive)

huh. oops.

well anyway, this seems an opportune time to deprive you all of my beloved, beautiful surname. henceforth i shall be known as:

i have never been tempted to take either because i feel i would die (not of the usual e stuff but more from food poisoning i bet)

Ecstasy, which I love to bits, but I'm very careful to only do it incredibly infrequently and in the right circumstances (haven't done it in a year now).

no cocaine, crack or heroine. the only one i'd even be inclined to *try* is coke but the thought of snorting something scares me, therefore dud.

these days i only smoke pot, and lately it's been quite infrequently (ie. twice in the last four months).
