I re-read some Rollerderby recently and just now I searched amazon to see if they had her Dancing Queen book and saw that in about a month a "sex diary" book is coming out made up of her stuff on Nerve.com and so yeah I am just wondering about peoples opinions of stuff she's done and so on.

oh fuck it's actually this Rollerderby I meant but rollerderby.com was quite exciting, hey did anyone see that Jackie Chan movie where he's a rollerderby champion or maybe his girlfriend is I can't remember (if you know what I'm talking about please tell me what that movie is called).

I once had love for Lisa, but then she married a fascist and I got confused. Then I read her sexy columns and felt stirrings again, but left unfulfilled. My friend Chris recorded her guest appearance on a CD and went out to a bar with her afterward, and watched her make out on the floor with some horrible drunk homeless senior citizen. Once she would have been my perfect lady. But I never listen to my Suckdog CD, ever.

Classic for me, as Lisa C. and Aaron Cometbus were my sole connections to subcultcha as a younger person. Both of them were a revelation actually. Helped to contextualize the music I was starting to hear around that time. But more than that, they opened my eyes to a freer thinking and suspicion of authority and all that punX0r stuff.

she's got a boyfriend called dave now and another kid.

I really can't stand the whole generation L thing, well I mean how could I agree with the short hair for men and long hair for women thing. Hmmmmm I don't know it's a pity she (probably?) helped spawn such myriad awfulness with the whole write-about-yourself thing (too lazy to explain myself; LCC would not be pleased, I am too slack; I think it's kind of sad how everyone just seems to want to be fucked/used/legendized/pissed on(literally)/etc by her I mean just because she's done "wild" and "extreme" and outspoken stuff but I guess I relate. sort of. Hmmm)

okay 'everyone' != everyone. I are crappy writer I would make better contributions to die subjectivistin or whatever it's called. But it did seem to be she got a lot of that kind of attention, via mail and in person, okay it would be surprising if that didn't happen...

spectra, Friday, 11 October 2002 02:17 (twenty-three years ago)

my ex liked her.

but like erica lopez, she's ultimately kinda staid and unentertaining.
