podcast listening

do you listen to podcasts? what do you think of them? i know some ilxors are pro and others are con when it comes to the medium itself

right now i mostly listen to http://atp.fm and http://daringfireball.net/thetalkshow/, although i don't always/often/whatever/who knows listen to whole episodes. i've considered dropping my podcast habit completely, but have not done so yet. it might not be worth it to continue

Right now I listen to:

- Poetry off the Shelf (a current poet reading & discussing a favorite from the 20th century)
- The Poetry Magazine Podcast (poems from the current issue & interviews with essaysists)
- Giant Size (introductions to comic book arcs, for the lapsed comics fan)
- Roderick on the Line (Merlin Mann + John Roderick of The Long Winters bullshitting)
- 99% Invisible (one-segment show on the impact design has on the daily life)
- Back to Work (Merlin Mann + Dan Benjamin on "productivity, creativity, & barriers")

I also, uh, host two shows and produce two other shows and sometimes guest on others.

I was hoping there was a "pimp your podcast" thread but I didn't see one, anwyay I have a new podcast about the intersection of technology and politics/culture/etc. that I record with some very sharp friends of mine and I think ppl might enjoy it. already a big hit with noted ILXor wins. plus we're on spotify now, how spiffy is that

cool! i am not huge into podcasts but lately i've been listening to a ton of Scene on Radio as i walk my dog around the neighborhood. i'll add HACKS to the mix!

simon, do you happen to remember what that ad is that features the investment child ("I don't save, i won't have that much money when i grow up")? for a long time i've been thinking of making something that involves the many ways that corporations use precocious children to sell things to people. this is one of my pet peeves in life. it creeps me out.
