I'm playing this LP by an act called Love Clinic which I bought on a whim (and because I like its label, Ariwa Sound) for a couple of quid earlier in the week. It's fantastic! Sort of like Lovers Rock but bang up to the minute, and some very odd cover versions.

I'm blown away, but not in the way I was 'spectin. It's really spacious music which I don't usually associate with garage. Mellowed-out but in an unjazzy way. It makes me wonder what the next MJ Cole record might sound like as the jazz/soul flip to this idea.
