i used to work in an office with a 1337 room on the ground floor. every time i passed it i would giggle

• bloated, big bag of bloatation – drunk
• bound-and-hagged – staying home on Friday or Saturday night
• cob nobbler – loser
• dish – desirable guy
• double dishing - when two desirable guys show up at the same party
• fuzz – heavy wool sweaters
• harsh realm – bummer
• kickers – heavy boots
• lamestain – uncool person
• plats – platform shoes
• rock on – a happy goodbye
• score – great
• swingin' on the flippity-flop – hanging out
• tom-tom club – uncool outsiders
• wack slacks – old ripped jeans

Obviously missing:

DOS - Dad Over Shoulder -or- Disk Operating System

At work the computers are identified partly by a four digit number. The computer labelled '1337' was, perhaps fittingly in an ironic way, a POS.

I used to appreciate this kind of 'inside track on what your offspring are doing/saying/thinking' article when I was a kid because I felt out of touch with my peers, but now I think they gave me a bum steer

This isn't on there but my boss showed me an email where his 17 yr old daughter told him to "literally stop" because he was being "annoying AF" and asked me what it meant. I hesitated but told him and he laughed. All I could think was how my parents would have killed me had i ever talked to them like that.
