Note that it's "McMillan" not "McMillan & Wife"; Susan Saint James had left the show the year prior - they wrote it into the script that she had died in a plane crash

I remember Roots being on TV at the time! It was a big event, iirc (Im not sure if we got it as early as 77 but it has to have been the late 70s some time). I never saw it. I was too young and wouldnt have been allowed.
