Sometimes, but usually mental.

Jennifer 8.-( (Stevie D(eux)), Saturday, 7 February 2015 20:40 (ten years ago)

The books-to-be-read 'list' is actually a pile.

Aimless, Saturday, 7 February 2015 20:49 (ten years ago)

there is no list, on a moleskine or otherwise, i believe ixor 'r|t|c' has torn them all up to write spidery poison pen letters to w12 addresses anyway

Here's mine. It already has lots of additions I haven't scanned yet.

Robert Adam Gilmour, Saturday, 7 February 2015 21:02 (ten years ago)

I have lists on amazon, goodreads, and letterboxd.

salsa shark, Saturday, 7 February 2015 21:26 (ten years ago)

And a pile of waiting-to-be-read books like Aimless.

I have physical lists in a couple of places, and a mental list as well.

I just know which of the books on my bookshelf I haven't started/finished. (Many of them, some last picked up years ago.)

I have a list for this yr in a moleskine but its just for the books i own that i want to read - it's almost redundant. But it's gotten me to get into chekhovs plays. They are rlly good, wonder if anyones noticed b4

Treeship, Saturday, 7 February 2015 23:32 (ten years ago)

I look at a couple of lists like the Sight & Sound one, a few others as well. None of them are really 'my' lists, though, and I use it more for recommendations than as stuff I 'have' to see.

Frederik B, Saturday, 7 February 2015 23:36 (ten years ago)

it's just something to say to ppl to make them think i'm interested in their recommendations but i will almost certainly never read it

Mordy, Saturday, 7 February 2015 23:42 (ten years ago)

"have you read the man in the high castle"

Frederik if i wanted to know abt sight and sounds list i would have asked them. We're talking about you here

Treeship, Saturday, 7 February 2015 23:47 (ten years ago)

I don’t have one. Started one for books at some point -- it was a text doc -- but I deleted it. Too much overhead. Life is complicated enough as it is.

I’m sure it wouldn’t qualify as overhead for some other people, but for my crazy brain it was too much. Not worth maintaining.

Sometimes the lists do feel oppressive but there's so many great things I wouldn't have remembered without them. Especially obscure things you may never hear about again.

Robert Adam Gilmour, Sunday, 8 February 2015 02:10 (ten years ago)

amazon list plus mess of firefox bookmarks

brimstead, Sunday, 8 February 2015 02:19 (ten years ago)

i don't ever say this though because i tend to not have heard of books/movies people tell me about

brimstead, Sunday, 8 February 2015 02:22 (ten years ago)
