England FTW? Ireland able this year? Scotland to surprise? France to actually turn up? Italy to avoid wooden spoon?
All to be revealed over the next few weeks.
I'm backing Ireland not only out of blind patriotism but also because I think they could have it on them this year.

IN JOE WE TRUST. I havent been too impressed with Ireland last week or that first half performance either tbh but hopefully they'll step it up a gear in the second half.

Joe. The man with THE plan.
France are a moving wall. Keeping ball down that end achievement in itself. I think Irish team still a bit nervy given recent returns from injury.

Phew. Those last 20 mins were pretty hairy but job done I guess although not the greatest game I've watched. England must be strong contenders to win the tournament now what with beating Wales in Cardiff. Ewww @ Sexton's eye
― tayto fan (Michael B), Saturday, 14 February 2015 18:52 (nine years ago) link
ireland were weak today but my fairly sure stat is that that's the first time we've ever beaten france back to back in 6n?
joe is god.
― Moyes Enthusiast (LocalGarda), Sunday, 15 February 2015 00:34 (nine years ago) link
yeah its must be the first time. panel was a mix of O'Gara stating "hey we beat France, not an easy feat regardless" and Hook's usual (justified in fairness) reticence over praising Ireland's performance. not a lot of try scoring opportunites.
― tayto fan (Michael B), Sunday, 15 February 2015 00:44 (nine years ago) link
The Wales Scotland match was a bit disappointing given disallowed try. Hopefully means that when we play Scots they'll still be deflated.
O'Gara's checked suit was playing merry hell with TV. I think he's a good analyst. Hook probably wise to hold back as we've still England which will be really tough.
I doff my cap at sheer not getting it by the Sindo where they had a picture of Sexton with the caption "Je suis Johnny." Remarkable even by their standards.

well done italy! it wasnt pretty but it was exciting cos it was so close all the game.

France are very very annoying. It detracts my enjoyment of this a little bit just the underachieving mess they are
― Master of Treacle, Saturday, 28 February 2015 23:47 (nine years ago) link
Delighted for Italy!
France are such a mess. Not even a hot mess, just a mess.
Excited for this afternoon. Hoping for Ireland win. Never confident when it comes to these matches, only ever hopeful.

Saint Andre is honestly one of the least convincing coaches I can remember in any sport. He is such a thundering fucking idiot, it does annoy me too. He kept his job after finishing last a couple of years ago, with France. It's beyond belief. Their second 15 could probably win a World Cup if they had a decent boss, let alone their first.
― Moyes Enthusiast (LocalGarda), Sunday, 1 March 2015 10:05 (nine years ago) link
Happy with that! Daring to hope for grand slam!
Agreed LocalGarda, it's very confusing fact that he has survived for so long given how bad he is.

Much more comfortable victory than I was expecting - which goes to show how far Ireland have come on. Wales in Cardiff now.....
― tayto fan (Michael B), Monday, 2 March 2015 10:23 (nine years ago) link
heady days. joe is reaching jack charlton levels of adulation. such a gent as well. they were so good yesterday, and they haven't even got up to full capacity yet, i don't think. wales and scotland will still be tough trips, but the chance of a slam is so exciting.
― Moyes Enthusiast (LocalGarda), Monday, 2 March 2015 10:26 (nine years ago) link
Sexton a worry though. He's really come on. A really great player.
― hyggeligt, Monday, 2 March 2015 20:29 (nine years ago) link
I didn't think Ireland would beat the Scots by such a margin. Great stuff. Ok then ALLEZ LES BLEUS!

Scotland poor and I think our penalty kicking display is gonna haunt us

My interest in the Six Nations doesn't stretch much further than hoping England get beat tbh, I need hardly point out that today is no exception.

French have missed a hatful of kicks in this match, could be 41 each easily.
― Betel-chewing Equipment of East New Guinea (Tom D.), Saturday, 21 March 2015 18:34 (nine years ago) link
fuck this imo
― post you had fecund thoughts about (darraghmac), Saturday, 21 March 2015 18:49 (nine years ago) link
French and irish kicking should have put this out of sight.

It's a pity we didn't win the grand slam but I think it will make a better team out of them tbh
― tayto fan (Michael B), Saturday, 21 March 2015 19:27 (nine years ago) link
Great to have won but I agree Michael B., it'll help you team maybe get more realistic focus for world cup.

OK, France in Paris, should be tasty. Ireland v Scotland in Dublin.
