Not really a laugh-out-loud gag, but good I suppose coming from someone who is percieved as so straight. As for the meaning, try something along the lines of "People think that when I'm not on TV I just waste my time. But they forget about all the time I spend " I'm sure N. will correct me if I'm wrong.......

Wasn't there a bit of a fuss sometime ago about Trev being a bit of a cad in the 70's? Going out to late night drinking establishments and the like.
Can't find anything to support this, but I was telling my girlfriend about his sordid past just the other night - so we got the gag. I think.
